The Trump excuses for not retrieving the Maryland man, Garcia, who they kidnapped and sent to a maxium security prison in El Salvador, only fools the dumbest people among us...generally speaking Trump voters. I doubt that any person who voted for Kamala Harris believes Trump's excuses.
Part of the Trump excuse goes like this: "there's nothing we can do. He's imprisoned in a sovereign country. We cannot tell other countries what to do".
Of course, Trump and the president of El Salvador have a contractual business relationship in which America is paying El Salvador millions to hold deportees. So Trump cannot get a favor from his business partner, but we supposed to believe that he's capable of forcing deals upon the entire rest of the world with his tariff policy? That argument is preposterous.
Another part of the Trump argument is that judges should not make foreign policy. To accept that notion you have to believe that Trump can violate the US Constitution and laws as long as part of his crimes happen outside our borders. Therefore no judge is allowed to call out his criminal behavior, because that would be "conductingforeign policy".
