Anyone know this show? I never heard of it, but it was on my free movie service in the TV section. It takes place in the Capt. Pike era which is directly before the original series era. Capt. Pike and his crew were actually going to be the crew in the original series except the pilot didn't pass muster with the network. They didn't think a female "Number 1" would go over well in the male-dominated 1960s. Gene Roddenberry's wife Majel Barrett (or eventual wife) played that part in the original pilot. The network also thought Spock (who was the science officer for Pike as well as Kirk) looked too much like a devil (or something). Anyway - this new series harkens back to that crew. I watched episode 1 last night and was pretty impressed with it - just wondering if anyone else saw it. I have no idea when it actually ran on tv, but I think it was on Paramount+.
