Again, in the past week or two, the dims have scurried around supporting the deep state, hoping their kickbacks won't be discovered. Obviously, this is a problem for them. Many dims have come out and preached about how USAID has done so much for the world. First, I honestly doubt if any of us but (maybe) two actually had ever heard of USAID, much less worked with them or seen the labels on the pallets in any country.

This is a State Dept slush fund that only gets funded through its entirety. Meaning State Dept asked for "an amount" for USAID, and they don't have to disclose where the money is going. That to me is an issue. Some of the money actually gets named through congress, but that's the exception rather than the rule.

Here's the problem with this setup. NGOs have no requirement to report if they received any money, and what's left. What is happening is there are kickbacks from the politicians that are supporting the NGO. Menendez is a good example of this. He gets money to go to a Turkish NGO, or in his case gives intelligence to the government of Turkey. He then, "buys" gold from the "jeweler" ran by two Turkish guys. The gold doesn't have a registration in the US (it's Turkish), which means it doesn't "exist" in the US, although it's still a chunk of gold in troy ounces. The representative or his wife walk away with the money.

'Calling Card' for US Democratic Party Found Along with Missiles, Rifles in Terrorist Weapons Cache
Packages from the United States Agency for International Development were found last year in a cache of weapons owned by the terrorist group Hezbollah, according to new reports.

The reports come at a time when USAID’s funding is under attack and the agency is being defended by Democrats such as Democratic Sen. Chris Coons of Delaware, who called USAID “smart power.”

“From the American taxpayer to Hezbollah, with love,” Asher Fredman, formerly with the IDF and currently executive director of the think tank Misgav Institute for National Security and Zionist Strategy in Jerusalem.

He said sniper rifles, anti-tank missiles, and explosives were found, along with USAID materials in a Lebanese village from which Hezbollah had withdrawn.

“When I served in Lebanon last October, we found huge Hezbollah weapons caches, together with USAID care packages (not to mention UNICEF folders),” Fredman posted on social media platform X.

Gerald Steinberg, founder of NGO Monitor, said the find was no surprise to insiders.

"The folks at USAID knew that taxpayers' money and ‘emergency assistance' went to terrorists. @NGOmonitor has repeatedly documented systematic aid diversion by terrorist organizations in Lebanon, Gaza, and Yemen,” he posted on X.

So. My guess is there will be a lot of politicians wrapped up in the USAID thing. Especially those who have been involved with US politics for a long time.

    Bang on, OD.

I wish I could say this is unbelievable.

The Cop Killer is so comically naive it's funny. WHY do you think USAID (which I have no doubt every American on the board knows 🙄) - doesn't have to report where the money is going? Because of a few under the table payments to politicians (on "both sides" of the aisle) like EVERY government operation? Or because it's a CIA front for black ops? USAID has a larger budget than any of the national "security" organizations.

The article doesn't bother to tell us what the "Democratic calling card" was - unless they meant USAID packages which are approved by Congress - not the Democratic Party. Of course a good portion of our "aid" meant for our "friends" ends up in the hands of the wrong people. The Cop Killer himself has pooh-poohed this as standard operating procedure when I pointed out that a VERY large percentage of our "aid" in the form or weapons and food to Ukraine was being sold off to terrorists by the cokehead running that country. Cop Killer claimed it was "no big deal" and "happens all the time". In fact, how do we know that is not where THIS aid originated? Answer... we don't.

Then there is the other obvious issue Cop Killer is too stupid and military brainwashed to understand... that we PURPOSELY arm our "enemies" all the fucking time because war is a business and the MIC wants to make sure business is always good. That is why we PURPOSELY left weapons in Iraq so the (former) Royal Guard could confiscate them as soon as we left and form ISIS. It's also why we PURPOSELY left all those weapons and other military equipment in Afghanistan after we left so the Taliban could re-arm themselves. We even left the instruction manuals so the Taliban would know how to use them. 😂

It's also why the CIA has PURPOSELY overestimated Russian military capabilities in the post-WWII world and why we still pretend like that tiny country (economically) is still some sort of mortal enemy when they can barely protect their own borders. It's also why we refused to sign off on an agreement with Russia that we wouldn't invite Ukraine to join NATO and avoid that war altogether.

But all these issues are FAR beyond the mental capabilities of the Cop Killer. So cue another one of his posts describing the intricacies of breaking down some obscure weapon or how to properly clean a restroom using only a toothbrush and some elbow grease to "demonstrate" his "expertise" in defense matters in 3... 2... 1... 😂

Destroying USAID may be the single most disastrous thing Trump will do. It is a gift to Xi Jinping and China. It has left the Chinese free to reap the benefits of its Belt Road and influence and through that, ceded all influence over a number of pooer countries.

A huge loss for Western Democracy and a huge boost to China's world influence. It effectively ends American leadersship.

God! But you Trump lovers are ignorant and stupid!

  4. by HatetheSwamp on February 12, 2025 12:02 pm

    I doubt it, meagain.

  5. by Indy! on February 12, 2025 12:11 pm

I also doubt this is the end of USAID because "both" parties need to keep it because it is a cash cow for them too. That is why they are in agreement on this. And any time something is agreed on by "both" parties? You know it's probably not a good thing overall. Although I'm sure some of the actual "aid" - which is a very small % of their work - does do good for both us and the recipients.

  6. by Donna on February 12, 2025 3:09 pm

In addition to what meagain stated, USAID is a big customer of US agribusiness. Governors of both parties in states where agribusiness is a huge industry will likely fight tooth and nail to save it.

But regardless of what people think about USAID, which has been strongly supported by both parties since its inception in 1961, the only legal and constitutional way to go about changing or ending it is through Congress.

  7. by Indy! on February 12, 2025 4:09 pm

If memory serves, only about 14% of USAID's budget is for the kind of "aid" most people think it provides - food, healthcare, etc... So it would be quite easy to cut their budget immensely and still keep the food portion that US farmers need to stay in biz (and whatever other actual aid products we are manufacturing here).

  8. by meagain on February 13, 2025 8:24 am
Perhaps this will clear it up a bit. USAID spends its funds on aid, not just 14%. It spends 42 billion a year alone on American foodstuffs for countries in need. That feeds hundreds of thousands who are on the cusp of starvation.

And my comments about the Belt Road are fact. This does leave the Third World to China. Today, two countries are said to have switched their allegiance to China.

  9. by Indy! on February 13, 2025 8:49 am

Good lord, meagain - you are as naive as OD.

  10. by meagain on February 13, 2025 8:51 am
I am informed, indy, not naive. It never ceases to amaze me how little even intelligent Americans know of the world. If you read the link ZI provided about Trump's "treason," you will find it explained in detail.

    America is becoming irrelevant.

    meagain you're deluded.

  12. by oldedude on February 13, 2025 11:00 am
    Wrongagain-

You missed the entire point of the thread. I have said several times, there are things I have worked on in different countries that have assisted third world countries from USAID. It isn't just food.

My main point are the people making money on the other end of the transactions. An NGO is given "X" USD. Great. They spend 80% of their money for whatever it is, and shell out 20% to the US politicians that pushed the money through. THAT is the issue I am after. That FRAUD, WASTE, ABUSE, GRAFT, and CORRUPTION is what is bothering me.

And here are some things that do bother me on the other end. Because of the BRIBES (that apparently indy doesn't care about), some politician is getting paid to getting money to blow up our own people (which I actually care about). And given books that are teaching them how to read with pictures of murdering and what an honour it is to wear an IED vest killing Westerners (so include yourself), in classrooms (which are actually kinda cool) all given "with love" from USAID).

  13. by Indy! on February 13, 2025 12:43 pm

OD - you are a laugh riot. I already explained why we arm our enemies (or teach them about IUDs - whatever). You just can't believe it because that army brainwashing has worked so well on you. But it is quite adorable - especially right after you pretend like a tough guy and then step right into the same pile of dog doo again. So keep it up. Thanks.

I am informed, indy, not naive.

Right - the guy who didn't even know we've had machines that turn book pages for decades now. You're right on top of things. 🙄

  14. by oldedude on February 13, 2025 1:35 pm
Donna- I agree about the agribusiness' That is one of those issues they needed to look at before moving on anything. You can still do forensic financial analysis on that without affecting the businesses.

the only legal and constitutional way to go about changing or ending it is through Congress.

With that much power, one woulda thunked that to be true. "In 1961, USAID was created by an E.O. issued by President John F. Kennedy (E.O. 10973), based in part on authority provided in the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961.

Because it was created by and E.O., it can be dissolved by an E.O.

This is why, in his first term, trumpster wanted congress wanted to "fix" the DACA issue. He knew that if he signed an E.O., whoever was after him would renege on the deal.

Anyway, just to file under fun facts.

As always, indy puts both feet in his mouth. Machines that turn pages have been used for a long time. They are quite common in the world of music. None, however, are done with fingers and thumbs. No machine has been developed that can do a fraction of what the human hand can do. They also turn pages under human direction.

  16. by Indy! on February 13, 2025 3:18 pm

Anyone - like you (apparently) - who believes we are at the end of scientific progress is a fool. The fact there is no robotic hand EXACTLY like a human hand now does not mean it will never happen. And yes - they already have thumbs. Now Meagain... before you make yourself look stupid again... I suggest you actually read the Mother Jones article Robert posted. It puts all your quaint, outdated notions of robots to rest. If you don't want to read it - you can continue putting YOUR foot in your mouth everytime we touch on this subject. Turning a book page will be the least of a robots worries.

Here are some fully functioning robots already out there. Now - are they perfect? No, but they will be. Anyone who understands progress (I know that rules out the Canucks in the audience), knows they will be before you can say "Turn the page, Robbie".

You are a lost cause, indy. What are they going to make the robot's hands from? Rubber? I could post as many articles and expositions rejecting the idea of robots taking over: AI or not, but I won't. It is amusing to keep reading the fear-ridden defeatism of the masses.

You're talking about 1970s tech, meagain. You have no idea how clueless you look right now. You're entering "the Beatles were terrible" territory again. Maybe stick to Canada "tech" and you'll do better - weird "bacon" and nasty beer.

  20. by meagain on February 14, 2025 1:58 pm
I am not talking tech of any era. I could, but it is irrelevant. I am talking reality. Humans are in control. AI is a non sentient tool.
