pb called it!

In a hearing held three days after Mr. Trump issued his executive order, a Federal District Court judge, John C. Coughenour, sided at least for the moment with four states that sued. “This is a blatantly unconstitutional order,” he said.

You need to settle your differences with the guy who posted comment number 28 in the thread below
    selectsmart.com

  2. by HatetheSwamp on January 23, 2025 11:15 am

Explain the differences to me. As po says, pb's stoopid.

  3. by Curt_Anderson on January 23, 2025 11:24 am
That guy in other thread said that "Trump proposes to end birthright citizenship for children of illegal aliens, not immigrants. Big difference." He thinks that I am lying about Trump's position. He doesn't believe that Trump threatens any immigrants' children's 14th Amendment rights.

You on the other hand seem to agree with the judge who blocked Trump.

  4. by HatetheSwamp on January 23, 2025 11:29 am

Because I pointed out your lie about Trump's position, does mean that I agree with Trump. It means that I busted you for being, as po'd say, a prevaricator.

  5. by Curt_Anderson on January 23, 2025 11:37 am
What is my "lie" about Trump's position? I said he threatened the rights of the children born of immigrant parents. I didn't say all first generation Americans. I didn't specify the parents' immigrant status because the 14th doesn't mention it.

  6. by Curt_Anderson on January 23, 2025 11:41 am
Btw, I suspect that many children wouldn't know their parents' immigration status. Especially if they were undocumented immigrants

  7. by HatetheSwamp on January 23, 2025 11:44 am

"I said he threatened the rights of the children born of immigrant parents."

That's your lie. Trump is challenging the "birthright" of children of illegal aliens.

I'm predicting he'll lose. But, he's not challenging children of immigrants. Trump loves immigrants... and their children.

  8. by Indy! on January 23, 2025 12:04 pm

    Trump loves WHITE immigrants...

Fixed it for you, Brown Shorts.

    ...and their children.

Do you really want to go there considering his tight connection to Jeffrey Epstein? 🤔

  9. by HatetheSwamp on January 23, 2025 12:08 pm

    Indy,

I despise Trump. However, I don't agree with lying about him. And, before you fell for Kammy, I can't recall that you cottoned lies... even about Mr Tangerine.

  10. by Indy! on January 23, 2025 12:47 pm

Not sure why you still believe I voted for Kamala - but if that's all you got? That's all you got.

  11. by Curt_Anderson on January 23, 2025 12:55 pm
Somebody is lying about Trump’s position, but it’s not me. You don’t see the contradiction in your posts?!

"I said he threatened the rights of the children born of immigrant parents." Me, Curt

That's your lie. Trump is challenging the "birthright" of children of illegal aliens.

Aliens=immigrants. Unless you are thinking extraterrestrial, but even they are covered by the 14th.

  12. by HatetheSwamp on January 23, 2025 1:01 pm

Trump is not doing anything regarding IMMIGRANTS in this matter. Rights. Birthrights. Nuthin.

  13. by Curt_Anderson on January 23, 2025 1:07 pm
HtS, tell it to the judge.

  14. by HatetheSwamp on January 23, 2025 1:18 pm

Clearly the point is to get it to the JUSTICES. No lower court would even think of siding with Trump. This is something that only the Supreme Court would do.

Ole pb thinks that there's, maybe, a less than 50/50 chance that the Court will grant certiorari. And, as I've been saying, I doubt Trump'd succeed with the Supreme Court.

But! If he does? Holy freakin friggin EFFINcow, man! I suspect that will seriously reduce the number of people who attempt to enter the country illegally.

  15. by Curt_Anderson on January 23, 2025 1:37 pm
Federal District Court judge, John C. Coughenour was appointed by Reagan. He is hardly a flaming liberal. He said he had not seen an order this "blatantly unconstitutional" in 40 years on the bench as Trump's plan to end birthright citizenship.

  16. by HatetheSwamp on January 23, 2025 1:48 pm

    Did you read my posts?

There's no way any lower court judge would affirm Trump's Executive Order. It's clearly unconstitutional. There's nuthin close to a precedent supporting it.

Might the Supreme Court create that precedent? Possibly. I don't think it will. But, if Trump prevails, only the Supreme Court can make that happen.

Is the English I'm typing in these posts beyond you, or do you just not understand the legalities?

Or, is your brain paralyzed by deranged TrumpHate?

  17. by Curt_Anderson on January 23, 2025 1:53 pm
    HtS,
You posts, especially on constitutional issues, range from inane ignorance to self-contradictory and illogical.

I predict that even this Supreme Court won't go along with Trump on this one.

  18. by HatetheSwamp on January 23, 2025 1:59 pm

And, I've been saying that all along about the law. It's your lies about what Trump is trying to do that I disagree with. 1

  19. by Curt_Anderson on January 23, 2025 2:03 pm
Nobody is lying here but you, HtS.

  20. by HatetheSwamp on January 23, 2025 2:14 pm

As long as you insist on saying that Trump is attempting to deny citizenship to the children of immigrants, you... are... lying like "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" lied when he promised not to pardon Hunter and members of his family.

  21. by Curt_Anderson on January 23, 2025 2:55 pm
    HtS,
You are as bad as Trump in your narrow definition of immigrants’ children deserving citizenship.

Trump declared that children born in the United States to undocumented immigrants would no longer be treated as citizens. That includes babies of mothers who were in the country legally but temporarily, such as tourists, university students or temporary workers.

  22. by Indy! on January 24, 2025 1:03 pm

None of the Euros overstaying their visas will be sent back. They represent the largest number of illegals - but they're the right color for Brown Shorts here and the Homeless Hairdo.

  23. by HatetheSwamp on January 24, 2025 1:11 pm

    Indy,

Trump was clear about who he plans to target. And, he's keeping his promises.

  24. by Indy! on January 24, 2025 2:03 pm

Yes - people who are the wrong color. Got, Cop killer.
