Check it out. I also created a rule to make the game harder for me. When I'm done with one game - I have to use the last word in that game as the first word in my next game. So "focal" was the last word in the previous game, which ended like this...

I needed 3 lines to get the last letter. So it only seems appropriate I got this one faster...

More than once the last/first word had no letters match so it was basically a wasted "guess". Eliminating letters is also a clue, aka the process of elimination. Three friends and I share our scores each morning. One guy is in London, one in Santa Fe (he recently moved from Ashland) and another lives just outside of town. They will bug me if I don't share my score. Plus my wife just started playing this past week.
