It appears that, while Biden snoozed in Africa and slurs his way, like Otis from Mayberry, through the White House Christmas Tree lighting ceremony, Trump's already running the Executive Branch.

President-elect Donald Trump visited with French President Emmanuel Macron on Saturday in Paris, for a meeting that he said was to discuss the world going “crazy.”

Trump was greeted by Macron at Élysée Palace and said that the two leaders had “really great success working together on defense and offense” during his first administration.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also joined the meeting, greeting Trump with a handshake when he arrived. Trump has said he will end the war in Ukraine quickly when he is sworn into office next month.

I predict that Zelensky nor Putin will reach an agreement and that Trump's second term will leave the world in much worse shape than it is now.

I find it funny that the sitting "president" wasn't invited. Maybe it was an invite from both President and Mrs Macron, since the future first lady actually speaks French, along with Slovenian, English, Italian, and German. There's something about being able to speak the guest's language or at least knowing some phrases.

You are really tiresome, PB, with your unfunny with your cowardly, verbal abuse of Biden from a safe place. Biden is the most progressive President America has had in a long time. The Inflation Reduction Act is not far off Roosevelt's New Deal in its beneficial consequences for America - for just one.

You accompany that with praise for the highly dangerous solipsist, Trump whose insanity threatens to destroy your country.

Obomber was far more progressive for his time. which helped trumpster get elected the first time. Admittedly, pedojoe regained footing and got trumpster in the whitehouse.

The difference between the two. obomber is an avowed revolutionary. pedojoe is corrupt.

As far as Rosevelt's New Deal. He instituted that to provide jobs, which would stabilize the economy. The aim was for relief from the great depression.

    The main points of the Inflation Reduction Act are;

    1. Enacts historic deficit reduction to fight inflation

    2. Lowers energy costs, increases cleaner production, and reduces carbon emissions by roughly 40 percent by 2030

    3. Allows Medicare to negotiate drug prices and caps out-of-pocket costs to $2,000

    4. Lowers ACA health care premiums for millions of Americans

    5. Cuts greenhouse gas emissions

I don't see much crossover at all. Not even considering the update in technology. Thusly, pedojoe could never get the full-time work at a decent rate. He did produce a lot of "part time" jobs which do absolutely nothing for families. They don't provide "mandatory" health care assistance, FMLA, sick leave (meaning if you're not at work, you don't get paid), pay for weekend work, etc.

So, I'd say that although Roosevelt's New Deal was "questionable" at the time, it turned out to be good a year or so down the road (e.g. people were working, a major change in the economy). The year is to be expected to get things actually running, so no problem with that. We still have parks and things in my hometown (also Central Park, NYC) that are standing to this day because of the law. So regardless of how you feel about Roosevelt, it was a good move.

Back to the thread. Post meeting.

The French leader extended an invite to Trump to engage in planned bilateral talks ahead of next month’s US presidential inauguration. “It certainly seems like the world is, going a little crazy right now. And we’ll be talking about that,” said Trump before the pair headed inside the palace and held a 90-minute closed door meeting.

Zelenskyy later arrived and was also received by Macron at the presidential palace. After a warm embrace and posing for photos, the French president escorted Zelenskyy inside where he joined the meeting with Trump and spoke about the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.

So holding trilateral talks about Ukraine are as important to France, Germany, Poland, GB, and the rest of NATO as they are the US.

And EuroNews had this to say about the election. Trump is set to reoccupy the Oval Office on the 20th of January after defeating Democrat candidate and sitting US Vice President Kamala Harris in last month’s US presidential race. The former US president clinched a decisive win over Harris, winning both the electoral college (312-226) and the popular vote in what was labelled one of the most important US elections in recent history.

You should take a proper look at the IRA. I that produced tens of thousands of new jobs. $350 billion of it is for climate and that means installing clean energy, The result of that is that there are now more new jobs in wind and solar than in gas. Also, inflation has been brought down. And, as you yourself admit, there have been added healthcare benefits.

Here is just one analysis of just how progressive Biden has been. An outside source to avoid any bias.

Again, we're not in 2030. still no full-time employment stats to speak of. Those are the facts from DOL. So whatever they're telling you is a fabrication or should be in future tense. I agree, there has be one? maybe two chip manufacturing plants. and one solar panel company that started under that. Promise high, deliver minimally.

pedojoe & company invested in dead technology. EVs that no one wants (ask the big Three automakers) is a main issue. Whether it's a good idea or not. You don't produce something that won't sell. It'll put people out of work.

Will the need/desire be workable in the future? Yes. But there are issues with them right now. They're far more expensive to buy, and more expensive to maintain. And a feature I need having an EV is a plug-in at my house. Which wouldn't be too bad ($500- $1500USD), except in many parts of the states with brownouts and blackouts during storms. So the California folks are stuck at home during wildfires. That IS an issue. And your electric bill skyrockets when it is working. If you're talking solar, you're talking about $30-$50+ to have that installed. That may be a good "investment" but unlike you, many people can't sink that cash into a system like that. Maybe the Hollywood elitist prigs can, but they don't care about anyone anyway.

Solar farms I'll agree with for sure. Not for everyone, but for the areas that can use them, they're a Godsend. There are small towns on the eastern plains of CO that are self-sufficient because of them. And honestly, nothing else grows there (it's original Oklahoma Land Rush Land that no one could farm). That is something that people can use now. They don't have to wait 10 years to see the results. Some of these towns have two or three solar farms on them because of the demand. Welcome to Capitalism. AND you get what you want. Winwinwin.

"Promise high, deliver minimally" should be tRump's middle name. Remember when he went to the Indiana company to prevent them from moving to Mexico? Then immediately after the factory got their free marketing from Rumpco they moved to Mexico anyway. Fox watchers think they're still in Indiana.
