After discussing the mental health effects of shoreline wind turbines on aquatic creatures, Donald Trump told Joe Rogan that he wanted to be a “whale psychiatrist”.


Mr. Vance criticized transgender and nonbinary people at length during the conversation, saying that he would not be surprised if he and his running mate, former President Donald J. Trump, won what he called “the normal gay guy vote.” And he suggested that children in upper-middle-class white families saw becoming trans as a way to improve their odds of getting into Ivy League colleges.

“If you are a, you know, middle-class or upper-middle-class white parent, and the only thing that you care about is whether your child goes into Harvard or Yale, like, obviously, that pathway has become a lot harder for a lot of upper-middle-class kids,” Mr. Vance told Mr. Rogan. “But the one way that those people can participate in the D.E.I. bureaucracy in this country is to be trans.”

    I don't recall those words but he expressed that sentiment. pb's been saying that, too. That's what GAG is all about.

    Aside from the absurdity of Vance's comment, since when are trans people given any sort of affirmative action advantage or preferential treatment by college admission offices?

    The entire GOP fascination with trans issues is proof that propaganda, advertising and Fox continually beating idiots over the head with false information will lead to a bunch of people having no idea what is actually going on in the world. According to the Census, approximately 1.4% of US adults consider themselves transgender. The odds some farmer in Idaho (or a racist in PA) is going to have any kind of problem with a trans person is basically zero.
