First, his sister hates him like I actually believe you have an honest opinion. so there's that. You've never lived with someone with Demita. If you actually did, you would very differently. If you did, they would have been bourne at the edge of the 20th century, when the list of dementia wasn't known. I'm sure you can "imagine" how it must be, but there is no real-world experience with it, because those things weren't identified then.

Good lord. Just because doctors didn't know what to call it doesn't mean it didn't exist, OD. You still had family members not being able to identify their kids, etc... etc.. People knew there was something wrong - they just didn't have a name for it.
