Minutes after Trump said he wouldn’t run and hide, he runs and hides.

I don't care what anybody says. Trump's trials won't help his poll numbers.

We don’t really know Joe Biden or Donald Trump. Maybe we should listen to those who do.

(NY Daily News)Ann Coulter is the newest unlikely new member of the Joe Biden fan club.

The conservative pundit effusively praised President Biden for being man enough to end the U.S. war in Afghanistan.

The sometimes critic of former President Trump called the onetime leader a "wuss" for failing to deliver on his promise to withdraw all troops during his four-year stint in the Whtie House.

"Trump REPEATEDLY demanded that we bring our soldiers home, but only President Biden had the balls to do it," Coulter tweeted Tuesday after Biden’s speech defending the withdrawal of troops.

Coulter also linked to Trump's "wuss" tweets in which he indicated he would preside over the withdrawal from Afghanistan.

We're talking effin Ann Coulter here. When was the last time you praised Ann, there, Curt.

But, actually Curt, even the Fox gang agrees with Joe in getting us out of Afghanistan.

I'm one of a very few disagrees with him. What people have a problem with is Joe killing off 13 Americans and abandoning an indeterminate number of American people and breaking the promise of safety to tens of thousands of our Afghan friends.

Do you still not get this?

    HtS,
    Let's do the math.
    13 service members killed versus:
American service members killed in Afghanistan through April: 2,448.
    Plus...
    U.S. contractors killed: 3,846.
Other allied service members, including from other NATO member states killed: 1,144.
    Aid workers killed: 444.
    Journalists killed: 72.

I honestly don't know the answer to this but I know that the number is substantial. How many died on 9 11?

You know that I'm part of a very small minority who thinks we should have stayed in Afghanistan.

Almost ALL of the people think Joe should resign agree with his, and Trump's, decision to leave Afghanistan.

As for the "promise of safety to tens of thousands of our Afghan friends" that was tens of thousands promises too many. The individuals who made those promises should not have. They were not in a position to fulfill those promises.

Let's not forget the estimated 71,000 Afghan civilians who were killed during the 20-year occupation, often by US/NATO weapons.

Warning: Photo at link of several dead Afghan children who were killed in a NATO airstrike in 2013.

    Donna,

Did you pull out that number to convince me to join you in supporting Trump's decision, ultimately and disastrously completed by Joe, to withdraw from Afghanistan?...

...because it ain't gonna work. How much mayhem took place in Korea and we've been there 70 years. In Germany?, 80.

    Poor analogy on many levels.

Watching pb try to make an equitable comparison is like watching a quadruple amputee try to tap dance.

(And after the many years of stellar examples from me that he could have learned from. )

    Interesting. Name three.

She's in the shower right now, so I'll give it a shot...

    1. We've never withdrawn from Korea.

    2. We have no hand in the Korean government.

    3. Korea actually wants us there, to help be a deterrent against the North.

    4. Germany actually wants us there, as we are part of NATO and have a big hand in defending them from outside forces.

    5. We have no hand in the German government.

    6. We never had any business occupying Afghanistan in a full, military occupation.

    7. There was never even a sliver of possibility that we'd ever succeed in Afghanistan, and a chaotic withdrawal was always a foregone conclusion.

  11. by Ponderer on September 2, 2021 9:40 am

    8. Our presence in Germany had nothing to do with taking sides in a civil war.
