    Off the top of my head, these are what I'd like a president to embody. Of course, I'd like them to also share at least mostly my views politically. I don't want them to be a well-qualified fascist, for example.

    Discernment and judgement
    Ability to work with others
    Work ethic
    Organized
    Proactive and prepared

    Reasonable

    Progressive - far more than any we've had since Carter

    Beholden to no one financially or politically

    Willing to cut the military/intelligence/homeland security apparatus by at least 50% over the next decade (really should be 75% over the next 5 years)

    I guess I am a little curious about yours though. Given that you support and defend Donald Trump, I wonder what kind of dispensation you are giving him by ignoring most of your list to support and defend him...


    Principle
    I suppose he has one: To only look out for himself and do whatever he thinks will help him and those who can help him. But that's as far as any principles he might have goes.

    Integrity
    The man blatantly has zero.

    Consistency
    Now I'll give you this one. For he has consistently been the biggest liar and treasonous scofflaw ever to enter our political arena.

    Reliability
    And I'll give you this one too. For you can rely on him to be the biggest liar and treasonous scofflaw ever to enter our political arena.

    Strength
    Like most schoolyard bullies, he really doesn't have any. It's all bluster and chest pounding with him. His empty saber rattling, ludicrous bravado, name calling, and excuse making show that he's a strong as wet tissue paper.


    How do you justify supporting, defending, and eventually voting for him then?

    That's the lamest excuse in the world not to answer a question. I could answer that question pretty easily:

    "I have never beaten my wife and I never will."



    So that being the case, Bill, how can you justify supporting, defending, and eventually voting for Trump when you say you despise him?
