"ALLENBY CROSSING, West Bank (AP) — Three Israelis were shot and killed Sunday at the border crossing between the West Bank and Jordan, Israeli officials said, in what appeared to be an attack linked to the 11-month-old war in Gaza.

The military said the gunman approached the Allenby Bridge Crossing from the Jordanian side in a truck and opened fire at Israeli security forces,..."

    Indeed! The Israelis should be allowed to control that swath along the Gaz. Egypt border and decide for Egypt as well as Gaza who and what can cross the border.

    The dozen Gazana killed in an IDF bombing the same day is quite acceptable, too. As are the West Bank Palestinians being killed by settlers.

    What's sauce for the Goose is poison for the gander!

    I made the comparison while you were away, that this is very much like the Irish. Someone needs to stop, but no one will. So don't whine when there's retaliation on either side (10/7 is the exception because of the methods and violations of the GC along with every other civilized rule of war). As you cheer for that, please remember that payback is a bitch. And please don't be one when it happens.

    The difference here is that this could have been avoided; stopped at any time over the past several decades if the USA would end its unconditional support for Israel encouraging it to defy the United Nations and the International Court of Justice.

    A two state solution could have been imposed with the 1967 boundaries as established and the security of both guaranteed by the UN.

    American domestic politics has been the fly in the ointment.

    What's something you don't care to read is the 1988 Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement. The 2017 Hamas "new Charter "A Document of General Principles and Policies" was written without explicitly revoking the 1988 charter.

    The US isn't mentioned, and Palestine doesn't give a rat's a** about us. Iran does, and so does China. And they're the main supporters of Hamas. It's only during wars that they the US gets mentioned. Iran mentions us a lot, but that's in the eradication and genocide of the Jewish people. They see it necessary to eradicate Americans and Europeans also as the Great Satan's.

    I don't know what you are getting at, od. The US has given unconditional support ti Israel right or wrong forever almost. At the UN, it has prevented any action against Israel or any condemnation of its actions. Half of all such motions at the UN have been against Israel and the US has vetoed every one of them.. Britain Canada and a few more were guilty of following the US in that until the last when the UK abstained.

    Thos countries are still supplying arms, though, while calling for a cease fire or end.

    You know what I just realized? Neither OD or PB has expressed their sympathies with the families of the kids and teachers killed in the GA shooter incident the other day. They must hate students and teachers and are perfectly overjoyed when they get killed for nothing except just going about their day. Sick. Not sure how those two can sleep at night - much less celebrate the mass murder of ordinary Americans the way they do.

    And Iran/China are giving Hamas arms and ammo. So I'm really not sure what you're getting at, other than create something no one (including Hamas and any other player in the region) care about. Everyone knows who gives who what. All the players understand that's what happens. The governments watch to see what the proxies are playing with. We know China/Iran are dumping their well aged rockets on Hamas because they have the launchers and Iran/China want to get rid of them for the new technology. I did discuss the 2K bombs. The major thing now is if Iran has an EMP device and if they'll use it. THAT is a game changer.
