According to the Los Angeles Times, “Since 2020, the median age of mass shooters has come down to just 22 years old — mostly young men and boys who carried out their attacks amid the disruption of a global pandemic.”

EveryTownUSA reports that “Federal law sets a dangerously low minimum age for buying firearms. While the law requires a person to be 21 to purchase a handgun from a licensed firearm dealer, it only requires a person to be 18 to buy a long gun, including an assault weapon, from a dealer. The law is even weaker for purchases from unlicensed sellers, with a 18-year old minimum age for handguns and no minimum age for long guns.”

It is obvious that keeping guns out of the hands of young and under-age children would go a long way to reducing mass shootings and gun homicides generally, approximately by half.

Making adults criminally responsible for keeping guns secured would help. Setting the minimum age for all gun purchases at 21 would make a huge difference.

It’s fine for parents to allow their kids to use guns in supervised situations, hunting for example. It’s not okay for a loose gun to available to kids with a grudge heading to school.

One source told CNN the AR-15-style rifle was purchased at a local gun store as a Christmas present. The timeline the teen’s father provided to authorities would put the gun purchase months after authorities first contacted Gray and his family to investigate school shooting threats made online.

Eventually the world catches up to where Indy was over 25 years ago. Arrest the father, throw him in jail, throw the kid in an adult prison with a really big, angry, sexually-charged muscle-head looking to "relieve some stress" for the rest of that loser's life. Then let the mother live out of a shopping cart in downtown for the rest of her pathetic life.

I read today that the mother phoned the school in a panic ten minutes before the shooting after receiving a text from the boy that just read, "Sorry, Mum."

She tried to warn them that she was afraid he planned to do something.

Buy a troubled (they already had inklings that the kid had issues) 14 year old a military grade rifle for Christmas - and then try to warn the school after he's already there with the gun. Apparently the school tried to find the kid after she called, but he wasn't in class. It could have been the time between him leaving the class to get his gun and the time he came back and started shooting. That should have alerted the school that there could be a problem and go into lockdown just in case (imo).

I just noticed that indy hasn't said anything about those that were murdered by this shithead. Everything has been rants about the gun getting up, loading its self and murdering people.

All our grandkids (minus 1) have guns given to them from their birth. They are kept in safe's until they move out of the house post 18 y/o or 21. My thought is that if the parents, school, or other people file on the kid there should be something done to protect the parents. I understand the second degree murder in this case. No problem with that (the statute fits the charge).. had dad done something to try to prevent the kid from getting the gun there may be a different result. Four kids (two of them were also freshmen) and two teachers. Small town. lots of sadness around the town about this.

Curt- you didn't clarify which shooting you were talking about.
Sept 4: There was Apalachee High School shooting: Georgia State Patrol responded to a school shooting at the Apalachee High School near Winder, Georgia. Two teachers and two students were killed while nine others were injured. A suspect, 14-year-old Colt Gray, was taken into custody.
My guess it this was it. I do agree with you on the scope and breath of the issue.

Sept 4: A gunshot, suspected by police to come from an adjacent apartment complex, hit a teacher at MS 391 in her hand while she was in a sixth-floor classroom; it happened one day before the scheduled start of the school year.

Sept 6: A student at Joppatowne High School was shot and killed in a bathroom. Another student was arrested for the shooting.
This sounds like a targeted hit. Gang shooting?

Still do not see a single tear or shred of empathy from ODor here. He obviously hates teachers and students and loves parent who let their kids take guns to school and shoot the place up. He even admitted he starts his own kids on day 1.

The Georgia school shooting has rocked the entire nation. A 14-year-old, Colt Gray, brought a semiautomatic gun to school and shot two students and two teachers. He’s facing four counts of murder. When read his Miranda rights, he kept talking. He also told investigators, “I did it,” without even bothering to sound remorseful.

It doesn’t end there, though. The father is also being charged because he allowed his son to have access to the gun. He’s being seen as an accessory. And since his son lives under his roof and is a minor, the father is just as guilty.

The shooting is the 30th mass shooting in the US this year.

Governor Brian Kemp has commented that it’s “everybody’s worst nightmare.”

One student commented, “I want to go to school worrying about what my GPA is going to be when my year is over and worrying about my career. I really don’t want to go back. I feel like I shouldn’t have to go back to school worrying about dying.”

WTF? as a stupid little girl argues over "semantics" when people are fucking dead. Only a "not a human" hasn't been exposed to the truth of "DEAD." My belief is there were specific targets. That only makes it worse (so there is ZERO excuse). That only proves premeditated MURDER.

The little princess will keep crying crocodile tears how she was wronged and keep switching lies on me. That's okey, because the people on the site (well minus a couple) are smart enough to see through it.

So I'm not sure this is the same as curt reported earlier 13 Dead+. Honestly, if it isn't, correct me. The point is that people were murdered.

He could have done the same thing with a bolt action, or a lever action. Again, you're hyperbole exceeds your knowledge.
