"My name will remain on the ballot in most states. If you live in a blue state, you can vote for me without harming or helping President Trump or Vice President Harris, and in red states the same will apply. I encourage you to vote for me. And if enough if you do vote for me and neither of the major party candidates win 270 votes, which is quite possible. In fact, today our polling shows them tying at 269 to 269. And I could conceivably still end up in the White House in a contingent election." ---Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
Spoiler alert, it is NOT possible. If there was a tie in the electoral college, the third place candidate could in theory be selected by the House of Representatives. But ONLY if Kennedy won at least one electoral vote, which means Kennedy would have to win one state. Then the House would have bypass Trump and Kamala to select Kennedy who isn't on many state ballots and at about 3 or 4% in the polls. So for Kennedy to be elected two highly improbable things and one impossible thing would need to happen.
Then there is the mixed message to his supports, "I am endorsing Trump...I suspended my campaign...vote for me."
