If you are a Trump flunky, don't try violating the Constitutional rights of a prestigious law school. They know the law.

And by that, I mean that I will not only vote for her, but I have put a Kamala yard sign in my front yard, Kamala bumper stickers on our cars, and I just this morning donated the largest sum of money that I have ever made in one donation in my political life to the Harris/Walz 2024 campaign.

The question I have for the forum is:

What in the world does anyone think Hate means when he vociferously declares that he "supports" Kamala Harris?

When Peebs writes "I support Biden" or "I support Kamala" my brain autocorrects it to read "I support Trump". 😎

We made a large donation (for us) to Kamala as well, and will probably do more. There is palpable enthusiasm for Kamala here in southern Oregon.

Here in very blue Oregon and cobalt blue Ashland there is no point in our knocking on doors. But in Tucson, you guys can make a real difference with person-to-person interactions. Your yard signs matter down there.

Harris-Walz signs are popping up like spring flowers where we live. Trump signs are not seen in this neck of the woods.

Donna has been trying to get to register people to vote. But so much of the volunteer work offered is door knocking or telephone work. She hasn't found anyplace yet that would let her do clipboard in front of grocery store kinda work.

Indy!, of course he supports Trump. But I think there's some sort of joke behind him thinking that he could ever convince us that he supports Kamala Harris in reality. Like he "supports" her becoming president just so he could make ridiculously asinine jokes about her administration for the four years of entertainment value.

    That's my theory anyway.

    Ponderer,
Your theory about HtS is right, imho.

    Ponderer,
Thank you for your and Donna's efforts in AZ. It sounds like you've done a lot already. Michelle Obama said "to do something". Nobody is obligated to everything.

Don’t think I’ve seen any political campaign signs in my area.

A campaign volunteeer called me yesterday (I had filled out a questionaire last week). The group she's with aren't involved in registering voters, but she recommended contacting the Democratic Party office here in Tucson. She agreed with me that there are probably a lot of people, particularly young adults, who are rooting for Kamala and Tim, but haven't registered to vote, and that many probably don't even know that you have to register first. She added that Tucson, which is a Democratic Party stronghold and is the bluest part of AZ, in particular has a lot of unregistered people who would vote for Democratic candidates. I'm going to call the Dem Party office on Monday.

    Donna,
I also read that the Arizona Republicans have added some new hurdles and wrinkles in the order registration process. So there may be people who think they are registered to vote, but are not.

  11. by Ponderer on August 24, 2024 9:27 am

Good point, Curt. It may be that the state government Trump Party officials have put so many conditions and limitations on folks registering others that they don't even bother much with it.

And that would be Mission Accomplished for those Trump Party officials.

  12. by Donna on August 24, 2024 9:35 am

In AZ, if you're plamning to vote for the first time, you have to show proof of citizenship
    in order to register.

  13. by Curt_Anderson on August 24, 2024 9:53 am
Proving citizenship is easier said than done. My passport expired, I have my birth certificate someplace.

  14. by Donna on August 24, 2024 10:24 am

Seniors largely aren't affected by the new law. It's probably overwhelmingly 30 and unders who are affected the most. Not everyone has a passport, but every American should have their birth certificate handy.

I salute your (probably misguided) belief in the party, Donna. Good luck.
