The GOP ran an almost perfect Convention. But, Trump is still a weak candidate.

Gang,

For you woke, white electric limousine lovin progressive Swampcultists, because I doubt you watched even a minute of it, let me fill you in...

The GOP put together as good a Convention as a US political party could dream of. And, that's saying something.

There's lots of diversity in the GOP world. The GOP is the home of openness and inclusion, acceptance, diversity, tolerance and freethinking. There's lots GOPs disagree about among themselves.

Still, all you could see in Milwaukee last week was a sinular focus on winning in November. The Party is more unified and more motivated now than before the Convention... by far. Heck, as po'd say, by EFFINfar.

They're in good shape for the election. People agree with the GOPs on illegal immigration. People are blaming Joe Biden and his party for high prices at the gas pump and at the grocery store.

Nearly everything voters will care about most in this election is a GOP issue.

But, honestly, they have a huuuuuuuuuge problem. The people who like Donald Trump loooooove Donald Trump, but more people either don't like him,... or passionately hate him.

Previously Trump could count on support in the mid 40%s. He's having a good year. He might be able to count on 47% in this election. But, no more than that.

The Fat Lady ain't sung yet.

Right before the GOP Convention, Trump appeared on the Clay and Buck program and the boys told Trump, "You knocked Biden out in the debate." But, in truth, Trump didn't win. If you watched and listened carefully, Trump didn't do well at all. Joe Biden failed miserably, historically. And, in the Biden disaster, Trump dodged a bullet.

Even the progressive SwampMedia was forced to focus on Biden’s brainfarts in the debate... but, in truth, Trump left the door open.

Nate Silver gives Trump a more than a 70% chance of winning the election, but there's still time.

I dunno how the Dems can turn it around. They continue, daily, to shoot themselves in the foot.

But, it ain't over.

My prediction is that, in the end, the truth won't be that Trump won the election, but that the Dems lost.

Still, this should be three and a half very interesting months.

Nobody gives a shit about the convention because all those votes were going to Trump anyway (just like yours and OD's). Indy has offered the cheat code for national general elections for DECADES now - nothing else matters when it comes to presidential politics...

    1) The GOP will vote en masse for whichever loooooooooooooooooser they pick as the nominee. Doesn't matter what that person stands for, doesn't matter what happened at the convention, doesn't matter what MSNBC or CNN or Fox says about that candidate - they are all going to the polls and they are voting for the candidate with the R next to his name. They are unthinking, unblinking lemmings and have been for years.

    2) The Ds will vote for their candidate if they have a reason. This year they do not (as of now).

Bottom line? A convicted felon who has already failed in one WH term will be re-elected.
