Cohen is a horrible witness. And, prosecutors did a terrible job in presenting his testimony.
They also suggest that this sophisticated jury, including two lawyers, will understand what a disaster Cohen has been.

Also, pb's Legal Goober #3 this evening said, now that the prosecution has rested, it hasn't gotten close to proving the "other crime" necessary to secure a conviction. He wasn't asked, but he didn't retract his prediction that the jury will hang. He's certainly not suggesting that a Manhattan jury will acquit "the orange turd."
The defense did move for a directed verdict. Judge Merchan has not ruled. Don't hold your breath.
