It's bad enough to die at a relatively early age, but it must really suck to spend your dying days realizing you've been an idiot. Conservative radio host Phil Valentine just died of Covid. He had been mocking vaccines including putting out a Beatles parody song entitled The Vax Man.

    This is what his brother, Mark Valentine, said while Phil was in the hospital…

    "He recognizes now that him not getting the vaccination has probably caused a bunch of other people not to get vaccinated," he said in the interview. "And that he regrets."

    "This is a real threat, it is a real public health crisis and it is something that if he had to do over again ... his cavalier attitude wouldn't have been what it was and he would have gotten vaccinated and encouraged everybody to get vaccinated," he added.

    Being an obstinate imbecile for no reason other than you want to exercise your right to be an obstinate imbecile accomplishes nothing but to more solidly confirm ones imbecilic obstinacy as indeed imbecilic.

    Valentine also had an impact on lives. How many people has he influenced not to be vaccinated? That's not the kind of impact that one would want to brag about.
