President Biden’s job approval has flipped for the first time in his presidency amid the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, with more Americans now disapproving of his performance in office than supporting it, according to the RealClearPolitics polling average.

The measure, which combines the results of recent national surveys, pegged Biden at 48.6 percent disapproval — nearly a full percentage point greater than the 47.8 percent of Americans who said they still approve of his performance.

It's getting ugly for that perverted and demented doddering old fool from Delaware. Nothing on the horizon looks good for the old guy.

Worse news for Joe. Most of these polls are either of all Americans or registered voters, not likely voters.

Bad, bad news for Joe. Bad news.

Bad news for Biden?!! Oh, no!

Is there a presidential election being held in the next few days?

  3. by HatetheSwamp on August 21, 2021 2:31 pm

    Bahahahaha. I see.

Curt, when I have suggested that Americans are dissatisfied with Clouseau on one issue or another you've pointed to his polls which, until a few days ago, continued to be remarkably favorable.

Now, as Joe's approval is avalanching, polls mean nothing. Theres no election on the horizon. Eh?

    Nice.

The President is a demented, doddering old fart and there's no way he's going to turn things around. He's incompetent and incapable. And, I can't believe that you couldn't see this coming when you voted.

    HtS,
According to the latest 538 polling aggregate, yes, Biden is below 50%, his low point in the polls He is also 13 points ahead of where Trump was at the same point in his presidency (the same link, scroll down). Four years ago, Trump wasn't taking any risks like withdrawing from a quagmire. Nor was Trump dealing with a pandemic.

AUG. 21, 2021, Joe Biden poll numbers.
    49.0% Approve
    45.5% Disapprove

Fine. I recall you citing RCP until today. But, I get it. Joe's number 1 with a bullet.

When I've cited RCP it's say even RCP has Biden up. RCP includes Rasmussen in their aggregate. Rasmussen is notoriously biased toward Republicans. That's why it's Trump's favorite polling site. The few times the any polls had Trump at 50% it was a cinch that it was Rasmussen's poll.

Other than conservative websites and the like, most news organizations don't report results from Rasmussen because they conduct automated polls incorporating interactive voice response (IVR) that don't meet our polling standards. (IVR just means an automated voice conducts the poll rather than a human being.)

Seriously does anybody with a smartphone ever answer a call from an unknown number, much less one with an automated voice?

The main issue with IVR polling is who is being called, who responds and whether the overall sample is actually representative of the district, state or country being polled.

As the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) notes of the issues with IVR polling:
"First, there are specific state and federal laws that restrict, and even prohibit, certain kinds of automatic calling. For example, it is illegal to call mobile phone numbers using automated dialing methods. This could mean that the growing number of Americans who are only reachable by their mobile phone will not be represented in the sample unless they are dialed manually.

    Fair enough.

    Joe's definitely on a roll!
