I don't know what anyone else thinks but I think that this is a savvy move.
You Dem wokesters probably are incapable of, as isle would say, UNDERSTANDing this...
...but the GOP truly is the home of openness and inclusion, acceptance, diversity, tolerance and freethinking...
...and, Rand Paul is a very prominent figure in the small but important libertarian-ish wing of that diverse group...
...and, the GOP libertarians, much like pb himself, are not in love with Trump.
Cozying up to GOP libertarians could shake support among GOPs away from Trump.
