In a recent survey conducted by a panel of experts specializing in the American presidency, President Biden was ranked 14th-best president, while his likely 2024 presidential opponent former President Donald Trump found himself at the bottom of the list.

The 2024 Presidential Greatness Project Expert Survey which was conducted from Nov. 15 to Dec. 31, included current and recent members of the Presidents and Executive Politics Section of the American Political Science Association, which is the foremost organization of social science experts in presidential politics.

Trump scrapes the bottom in the other presidential rankings by historians. See Wikipedia link.

Isn't it amazing? As effective as Joe's been, Joe's, by faaaaaaaaar, the least popular President in the history of polling.

    By faaaaaaaaar.

    No, by EFFINfaaaaaaaaar.

    Amazing, ain't!!!!!

Curt's poll... first off - only 29% response rate. Kinda weak. Secondly...

    Obama: 7th? 😂😂😂

Can you say "recency bias"? 😂

I would trad him with Carter (at 22!??) who actually did some good things for the country.

And how does Smirk land 3 spaces ahead of Nixon? Sure Nixon was a criminal and a warmonger (so was Bush), but he also signed off on the EPA and some other good things.

    Indy,
Biden has claims to a historical legacy by managing the end of the Covid pandemic; rebuilding the nation’s roads, bridges and other infrastructure; and leading an international coalition against Russian aggression, Biden’s signature accomplishment, according to the historians, was evicting Trump from the Oval Office.

“Biden’s most important achievements may be that he rescued the presidency from Trump, resumed a more traditional style of presidential leadership and is gearing up to keep the office out of his predecessor’s hands this fall,” wrote Justin Vaughn and Brandon Rottinghaus, the college professors who conducted the survey.

Biden has claims to a historical legacy...

    Legacy? Bahahahahahahahahahaha, haha haha ha!

He's not through one term. Bahahahahahahahahahaha.

The national debt has increased by more than $6,500,000,000,000 since the Flatulent Fool placed his hand on the Bible. AND, that's with the Fed
radically hiking interest rates to save his sorry derriere.

I'm with the people who have his approval lower than any president since polling started. Those experts on the presidency are mo-rons.

It increased by $7.8 trillion ($7,800,000,000,000) under Trump. What did we get for our money other than the very wealthy got a tax break?

With Biden we got something for our money (without any tax increase):
The COVID-19 relief measures, in which every individual and business got stimulus checks.
The infrastructure bill funding for improvements to roads, bridges, public transit, drinking water (maintenance which better now than later), and expanded access to the internet, among other initiatives.
The Inflation Reduction Act, investing in green energy initiatives and reducing healthcare costs.

The US also is enjoying one of the world's lowest rates of inflation among the leading economies.

Bang on. Of course, Joe's not finished yet. But, by all means, if you want to place "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" one place above Trump?, I'd get that.

    Can we agree on that?

  8. by Curt_Anderson on February 19, 2024 11:28 am
We can agree if you refer to him as President Biden and place him way above Putin ally Donald Trump in the presidential rankings.

By the way, those scholars who you called "mo-rons" are not alone in ranking Trump as our worst president. See the Wikipedia link in my OP.

  9. by HatetheSwamp on February 19, 2024 11:40 am

    They ranked him 45.

You and your "experts" have a very low bar for Biden, Curt. "Managing" the end of the covid "epidemic"? By passing out some "free" (read taxpayer bought) vaccines and saying it was over?

Carter beat Ford - a guy who wasn't even elected vice president or president. Guess I should add that to his "accomplishments" since you're counting Biden "defeating" a guy everybody was tired of watching destroy the country in a two man race.

16th is way too high for Reagan too. He did absolutely nothing important.
