“The Committee and Select Subcommittee have obtained documents indicating that following January 6, 2021, FinCEN distributed materials to financial institutions that, among other things, outline the ‘typologies’ of various persons of interest and provide financial institutions with suggested search terms and Merchant Category Codes (MCCs) for identifying transactions on behalf of federal law enforcement,”
“These materials included a document recommending the use of generic terms like ‘TRUMP’ and ‘MAGA’ to ‘search Zelle payment messages,’”
"FinCEN urged large financial institutions to comb through the private transactions of their customers for suspicious charges on the basis of protected political and religious expression,”
“Despite these transactions having no apparent criminal nexus — and, in fact, relate to Americans exercising their Second Amendment rights — FinCEN seems to have adopted a characterization of these Americans as potential threat actors,”
This is outrageous.
Understand what happened. In what's part Stalinesque, part Banana Republic, the ruling political party in the country whose Bill of Rights strenuously guards the individual liberties of its citizens... WITHOUT PROBABLE CAUSE... intruded into the lives of citizens in a way that, in all likelihood, would focus on supporters of the opposition party. And, specifically, supporters of the sitting President’s primary rival.
If you are a progressive SwampDem and you wonder why Trump has so loyal a following, stop wondering.
If you doubt that the Swamp is dysfunctional and corrupt, stop doubting.
If you don't believe Trump when he says that they're not coming after me, they're coming after you, I'm just in the way, believe. That's precisely what that means.

BTW, pb looked for a source of this story that might be more sensitive to the Biden Administration. And, guess what? None of those "news" outlets are touching this?
Is it any wonder that Curt's an ignoramus!!!!? And po. And isle.
