Wages are up, people are traveling and dining out more. It's been rough since Biden became president. When will it stop?

July consumer prices jump 5.4%, but core inflation rises less than expected
Prices that Americans pay for everyday goods and services rose in July as pent-up demand for travel and restaurants kept inflation hot, but jumped about as much as economists had expected.

The Labor Department reported Wednesday that its consumer price index rose 5.4% in July from a year earlier, in line with June’s figure and matching the largest jump since August 2008.

Items on the menu last year costing $10, now costs $10.54. Except last year the restaurant was closed due to Covid.

Inflation actually isn't taking a bite out of your paycheck. Wages have been going up faster during the pandemic.
Inflation has been on the rise, but so are wages, especially in the leisure and hospitality industry.

Looking back over the course of the pandemic, wage growth has outpaced the rate of inflation. The higher inflation seen through the summer, which some economists have cited in saying that American workers are seeing wage gains eaten up, just showed its first real signs of cooling in July.

The government said CPI increased 0.5% on a month-over-month basis, matching a consensus forecast from economists surveyed by Dow Jones.

First, Donna, nothing is all about Biden. Are you in denial that Joe is just a figurehead? Do you remember, on the day of his Immaculation, when Joe signed those Executive Orders, he couldn't explain them? It's about the smoke filled room handlers of the ex trucker.

Second, while I do think that the ex trucker's handlers' policies are significantly responsible for what's going on in the economy now, the truth is, politically, this is the Biden economy. The White House gets all the credit from voters when the economy is strong and all of the blame when it spins out of control...which it is.

So, practically speaking. It's all because of Biden.
