U.N. climate change report sounds 'code red for humanity' (see link)

The truth is that the only real solution is to stop burning carbon into our atmosphere - not halfway measures, a full stop. And it's probably too late for even that to stop it.

Scientists call for 'refreezing' of the Arctic; Arctic is having a serious meltdown. (see link)

The Arctic is warming at a rate three times faster than the rest of the planet which is also warming at an alarming rate.

So in a last ditch effort to save humanity, scientists are considering refreezing the Arctic by creating white cloud cover over the Arctic Sea during the three months of polar summer.

"We can manage this," said David King, chair of the Climate Crisis Advisory Group (CCAG). "I believe we've got five years to set in train a whole series of a program of work. We will have a safe future for mankind going well into the next century."

"[Otherwise,] we are looking at a situation in the near future that is really to too grim to to contemplate," he said.

'Unimaginably catastrophic': Researchers fear Gulf Stream system could collapse (see link)

The Gulf Stream "conveyor belt" is showing signs of slowing down, as predicted many years ago by climatologists. When the Gulf Stream collapses, Europe will be sent into a permanent deep freeze in addition to myriad horrible consequences.

Right. I said that in my post.

I'd like to know who would pay for refreezing the Arctic and which organization would get to decide that. I imagine that the increasingly prolonged shipping routes that open up during the summer months create a lot of additional profits to the shippers and the companies that use them to transport their goods, so I would think they would probably oppose refreezing the Arctic.
