People who say they are voting for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are probably low-information voters.

President selectors, pages, etc.
Be careful not to read too much---or too little---into the responses to poll questions.

This morning, as I do every Friday, I was running with friends. One of my pals cited a poll which he said found that more voters are concerned with Biden's age than voters are concerned with Trump's criminality.

I should mention that for about a month my friend has been loudly wishing that a younger Democrat would step up and challenge Biden. He also has said that Biden has been "the best president" in his lifetime. My friend is a little older than me.

I said to my friend, that people who are concerned about Biden's age when they answer pollsters can fall into two camps: Those who believe that Biden's age means he's not capable of doing the job. Then there are those like you worry that some voters will believe that Biden's age means he's not capable of doing the job. Pollsters' questions by necessity are concise. That often makes them ambiguous.

I said to him, "you are concerned about Biden's age. Who are you voting for?" He answered, "Biden of course!"

"Be careful not to read too much---or too little---into the responses to poll questions."

But, do note that "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" is -17.4 at 538.

Neither fans of that great song, GOOD MORNING VIETNAM, nor that mob of lyin dog-faced pony soldiers can maintain his popularity.

    God save the Queen, man!

    Bahahahahahahahahahaha baha baha haha ha.

If Biden is the best president of our lifetimes, it's a sad indictment of this country.

Indy, who do you consider the best president of your lifetime?

  4. by Indy! on October 7, 2023 8:21 am

    Jimmy Carter.

    , Indy!

Had you asked pb?, he'd'a said, Bubba Clinton.

pb thinks he should have been impeached, #metoo being what it is. But he was a very effective President.

    Who disagrees?

Carter was definitely the most honest president I can remember.

  8. by HatetheSwamp on October 7, 2023 9:17 am

I don't think Carter was a great President. I remember gas rationing. I remember double digit interest rates.

But, I admire him and I voted for him twice.

Jimmy Carter was not a great president. Carter certainly has been a great ex-president. Carter may even be a great person.

  10. by HatetheSwamp on October 7, 2023 10:39 am

I've never agreed with you more, Curt.

The misinformed hate Carter - like pb's comment that the gas crisis was his fault. He took over the GOP's disastrous policies and had to straighten them out (like virtually every other D president, btw). Carter actually had us on a path to requiring NO mideast oil by 1990 - which would have eliminated virtually all the US vs. terrorist activity of the past 30 years. He's also the ONLY president to actually sign a mideast peace treaty that worked for decades. This is the real reason why history has treated him poorly - because he didn't want to play the stupid MIC war games. He cut into their profits and they have never forgiven him. He's also the only president to give support to a local population in a war against Russia and actually WIN.

As an ex-president he is easily by far the best we've ever had. No others come anywhere close with all their fake "charity" foundation slush funds subsidizing their already obscene wealth.

Also I notice Curt didn't bother to offer up his favorite. So before he tries to save face, I'm going say right now you can't pick Biden, Curt - because he's still president and has plenty of opportunity to make his already sad failure of a term even more disastrous.
