From that gay Guy Curt never heard of:

"AP poll: Words most associated with our major parties’ 2024 frontrunners (each with universal name ID):

Biden: “Old” & “confused”
Trump: “Corrupt” & “dishonest”

Majority unfavorability rating for both (Trump’s is 10 points worse). Biden’s numbers on the economy awful."

Is it any wonder. The Swamp is a mess. People are clamoring for an alternative.

And, our SwampLovers here criticize Cornel West for doing his part to give us one.

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Right, HtS...and I am sure you will be voting for Brother Cornel. 🙄 🤨

  2. by HatetheSwamp on August 28, 2023 2:26 pm

    No.

pb'll be voting No Labels, as he's said.

  3. by Curt_Anderson on August 28, 2023 2:47 pm
    HtS,
I doubt that you will have the chance to vote the No Labels candidate.

    First off, there is this:
"WASHINGTON, July 16 (Reuters) - The third-party No Labels group will stay out of the 2024 U.S. presidential race if polling shows its candidate would play a "spoiler" role by helping to elect either the Democratic or Republican nominee, co-chairman Joe Lieberman said on Sunday."

Secondly, there is the issue of ballot access. States require minor parties and non-affiliated candidates to gather a certain amount of signatures to appear on the ballot.

    Curt,

I watch Sweet Shanny Bream every Sunday morning. Yesterday...August 27... immediately following pb's Legal Goober #2 interview about the indictments, she interviewed No Labels Big Shot, Joe Lieberman:

Former Sen. Joe Lieberman said Sunday the No Labels group intends to select a presidential ticket in April in Dallas.

Speaking on “Fox News Sunday,” Lieberman told host Shannon Bream: “We already have scheduled a bipartisan convention. Think about it. We haven’t seen that ever in recent history. A bipartisan nominating convention for Dallas, Texas, in April of next year.”

“Right now, we’re focused first on what’s most important: On getting on the ballot with a third line in all 50 states that we will then offer and give to a bipartisan unity ticket,” he told Bream.

"...we just finished a poll of 10,000 voters in the eight battleground states. And we give them a choice of Trump, Biden and a moderate independent third choice, and 63 percent say that they’re open to a moderate Independent third choice.”

Democrats have characterized No Labels as an effort that could lead to a return to the White House by Trump.

“Let me be clear: No Labels is trying to use a false message of unity to sow division,” Rep. Annie Kuster (D-N.H.) said last month. “Their plan to run a third-party ticket in 2024 will pave the path for the most extreme, far-right candidate to win the White House — namely, former President Trump.”

...False message of unity. Yeah, right!

Of course, pols can and will say anything but pb was paying attention to Lieberman's nonverbal communication and listening to his tone of voice. He seems determined.

And, Sweet Shanny? She's as close to being an old school journalist as there is on TV. But, she seemed smitten...and convinced.

That 10,000 person poll and the 63% result?

    I think it will happen.

Also, this left-leaning POLITICO article quotes a Dem hack being up in arms. But, conservatives are upset, too. Their distress suggests to me that the whole Swamp knows that this really could happen...

...as long as Dems foist sham Trump indictments and GOPs fiddle around with Hunter and Jim Biden and the rest of the Family, the more people not brainwashed by the Swamp are getting seriously pi$$ed!

Sorry I didn't close the underline properly. Such a pain.

  6. by Indy! on August 28, 2023 6:51 pm

Joe Lieberman is the chairman? No wonder it's called the "No Labels" party... he's probably sick of people calling him a rightwingnut after he sold out his party.

And again... Indy totally nails it without doing a lick of investigating. I called them out for being nothing more than "another way" to vote GOP the day I heard they were starting up. Lieberman's involvement confirms it.

It's rather comical that HateTheSwamp wants to vote for the No Labels presidential candidate. What is more swampy than a secretive political organization that won't reveal where their money comes from? All No Labels will say is that their individual contributors are "people that want to help our country."

Even their so-called agenda is a mystery. They claim theirs is a commonsense agenda, but in reality it's all so vague, nobody could say definitively where they stand on any major issue.

Take their "position" on abortion for instance:
“In the realm of politics, our elected leaders must find a sustainable and inevitably imperfect compromise that balances the belief of most Americans that women have a right to control their own reproductive health and our society’s responsibility to protect human life,” [their] booklet said.

“Abortion is too important and complicated an issue to say it’s common sense to pass a law — nationally or in the states — that draws a clear line at a certain stage of pregnancy,” the group said.

Same goes for Yang's group. His policy is some tossed word salad saying every candidate/area must come to their own conclusions when it comes to policy. So why do we need his party?

    Tulsi:

"Unprecedented abuse of our judicial system by Democrat elite is the biggest domestic issue confronting our nation. It goes beyond Trump. If they are successful, it would set a precedent and be the end of our democratic republic."

    We should all HatetheSwamp

    Curt,

Based on the perception, among many, that the Judiciary is being weaponized by Dems and the reporting of suspicious activity among the Bidens that people who aren't committed Dems are following...and Trump's despicable and accusedly criminal behavior...

Is it really hard for you to believe that many moderates and independents and Swamphaters of the Indy and OD and pb ilk won't happily vote for someone not named Biden or Trump?

  11. by Curt_Anderson on August 29, 2023 10:25 am
    HtS,
What I said is comical (read hypocritical) about your wanting to vote for the heretofore unknown No Labels candidate is that No Labels is a secret organization with secret funders, secret positions and secret candidates.

If you were sincere and informed, you would know of other options besides Trump, Biden and the No Labels candidate, whoever that is.

  12. by Indy! on August 29, 2023 10:32 am

We do know of other options. That tiny brain you're crawling around in is yours, Curt - not ours.

  13. by HatetheSwamp on August 29, 2023 10:47 am

Here's why pb thinks No Labels is a serious threat to the Swamp in 024: Political hacks from both shades of the uniparty are actively demeaning it, already. GOPs and Dems alike appear to feel threatened...but, mostly Dems.

My sense is that, even these 14 months out from the election, many people want to vote against the Swamp. And, next year? With all the Trump trials? And, the impeachment squabbling? Watch out! Tens of millions will think that the Swamp is uglier than ever.

I HatetheSwamp. I'll vote against it simply to vote against it. That there's even a remote chance that a third party might win? All the better.
