People who say they are voting for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are probably low-information voters.

And, of course, there ain't.

It's amazing how these indictments, when they appear in the light of day, are revealed no to be worth the Charmin they're printed on.

“The grand jury indicted Trump for “conspiracy to defraud the United States by using dishonesty, fraud, and deceit to impair, obstruct, and defeat the lawful federal government function by which the results of the presidential election are collected, counted and certified by the government; “conspiracy to corruptly obstruct and impede the January 6 congressional proceeding at which the collected results of the presidential election are counted and certified”; and “conspiracy against the right to vote and to have one’s vote counted.” “Each of these conspiracies,” the indictment reads, “targeted a bedrock function of the United States federal government: the nation’s process of collecting, counting, and certifying the results of the presidential election...”

“...This federal government function…is foundational to the United States’ democratic process, and until 2021, had operated in a peaceful and orderly manner for more than 130 years.” Heather Cox Richardson

And, not that this has anything to do with the indictments, but to the part at the end about our country's long history of peaceful transfers of power, we shouldn't forget that the majority of Republican House members voted against a peaceful transfer of power on January 6, 2021.

    Donna,

You wanna jail half of the GOP, now? C'mon man. Gimme a break.

And, you claim not to have TDS. God save the Queen, man!

    isle.

Trump is despicable. Jack Smith wants to make that a felony. The Supreme Court won't allow that.

Politicians lie. But, we still have a First Amendment. Splain again. Why don't you just move north to Canada!!!!!?

#2. Democrats made objections to election results during election certifications in 2001, 2005 and 2017.

In all three of those years, the losing candidate had already conceded the race.

In 2021, 147 Republicans objected to the results, and Trump was actively trying to stay in office.

So it goes to both sides.

Objections are one thing. Trying to rig the results is another.

  7. by Ponderer on August 3, 2023 1:18 pm

Forgive him, Indy!. He was just trying to make an equitable comparison. You know how disastrous that can be, him being a conservative and all.

olde dude, in 2001, 2005 or 2017 did any Democrats call any state election officials and goad them to help them commit election fraud by "finding" votes for them that didn't exist...? Hmmm...?

Did any Democrats try to get the Justice Department to declare that there was fraud in any state elections they lost when there was no evidence of any fraud whatsoever...? Did any of them tell the Justice Department, "Just say there was fraud and we'll take it from there."...? Hmmm...?

Since before J6, pb's been asking. What did anyone on the GOP side do that violates the Electoral Count Act of 1887?

    Still? Nuthin.

But, please. Please, please, please, please. Let's enforce the law.

  9. by Donna on August 4, 2023 7:19 am

Hts: No, I don't want to jail those Republican House members for their votes against the peaceful transfer of power. That would be fascist. I'm just pointing out how a majority of Republican House voted.

I'm sure that they all knew about the fake electors scheme. DJT certainly did; he referred to it in his speech outside of the Capitol building on 1/6/21. It was all part of an illegal plot to undermine the free and fair presidential election.

Btw about 30 of the fake electors who participated in that scheme have been indicted.
