People who say they are voting for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are probably low-information voters.

New poll reveals demographic voter shifts. Biden leads Trump, especially among "definitely voting" voters.

An Echelon Insights survey of 1,020 likely voters show that 48 percent of those in battleground states said they would definitely or probably vote for the Republican who is the favorite to clinch the GOP presidential nomination in 2024, compared to 41 percent who said they would back Biden.

Incidentally, in the same poll, "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" would win the popular vote nationwide but be creamed in purple states.

So, apart from the Dem cheating, a repeat of 016.

Put West on the D ticket. That would scare the crap out of the Ds.

  2. by Donna on July 6, 2023 12:56 pm

He could run if he wanted. There's nothing preventing that.

  3. by Curt_Anderson on July 6, 2023 1:00 pm
    Who is West?

  4. by HatetheSwamp on July 6, 2023 1:13 pm

    Curt,

    Cornell West.

He is running - on the People's ticket. If I can vote for him - I will.

  6. by Curt_Anderson on July 6, 2023 1:45 pm
Cornel West is also seeking the Green Party nomination.

  7. by Indy! on July 6, 2023 4:09 pm

Works for everybody. Biden has his excuse for losing now.

From what Fox was reporting, before I boycotted, the No Labels Party will be on the ballot in all 50 states.

I've already said that I'm considering voting No Labels. Not knowing who the candidate is makes it hard to commit.

I think it's possible that a decent size piece of the electorate will be so disgusted with a Trump/Biden rematch that alternative candidates may pull in a lot of votes. It'd serve the Swamp right.

"I've already said that I'm considering voting No Labels." -Hate

I'm sure there's a really funny joke in there about absurdly boundless hypocrisy, but I'm just too pooped right now to hunt it down.

Sorry, Bill. If it comes to me by morning, I'll let you know.

  10. by Indy! on July 6, 2023 7:42 pm

    No Labels = Blue/Red Party

  11. by HatetheSwamp on July 7, 2023 3:35 am

No Labels...I love this verb...IDENTIFIES...as centrist. But, Jill Stein, for whom the poster formerly known as "Power to the People" voted instead of Hillary in 016, is rumored to be interested in the nomination.

  12. by Donna on July 7, 2023 8:01 am

I had forgotten that I voted for Jill Stein. The context of that vote was since Hillary had about a 30 point lead over Trump in the polls in California, I figured that since Hillary didn't need my vote, I'd use it on Stein.

  13. by HatetheSwamp on July 7, 2023 8:16 am

And, still, you voted for Joe.

  14. by Donna on July 7, 2023 8:31 am

I gave up voting for poorly polling third party candidates in general elections. On one hand, it doesn't matter one way or another who I vote for when a candidate has a 20 or 30 point lead in the polls in my state. OTOH I've grown sick and tired of these third party candidates doing pretty much nothing politically until we have a presidential election when they come out of the woodworks pretending they're serious candidates.

  15. by HatetheSwamp on July 7, 2023 8:38 am

So, for Donna, it's Clouseau (or fill in thr blank Dem) in 024?

Here, Evie's already declared that she won't vote for Trump no matter what. I've leaned so far third-party, I'm about to fall over.

  16. by Donna on July 7, 2023 8:43 am

Good for Evie! At least one of you cares about protecting our democracy.

I'll be voting for whoever I think has the best chance of protecting our country from fascism.

  17. by HatetheSwamp on July 7, 2023 8:48 am

You should look at the libertarians, then.

  18. by Donna on July 7, 2023 8:55 am

If I ever thought a libertarian candidate had the best chance of preventing our country from electing a proto-fascist president, I'd vote for them in a heartbeat.

  19. by HatetheSwamp on July 7, 2023 9:16 am

I'd love to know your definition of fascism in the context of America's "democracy."

  20. by Indy! on July 7, 2023 12:35 pm

I forgot about that. It was okay for Donna to vote for Jill Stein because Hillary had a big lead, but it wasn't okay for me to vote for Gary Johnson even though Trump had a big lead in Florida (and Hillary sucks dirt balls).
