Minutes after Trump said he wouldn’t run and hide, he runs and hides.

I don't care what anybody says. Trump's trials won't help his poll numbers.

We don’t really know Joe Biden or Donald Trump. Maybe we should listen to those who do.

The Trump cultists prolong their loserdom by refusing to admit his defeat.

As long Trump and his followers continue to claim as he has said, "we won. We won in a landslide. This was a landslide", we rational people get to point out that he lost and that the cultists are supporting and enabling a loser.

A frequent refrain is that Biden (or Democrats on his behalf) cheated. That leaves us with two possibilities:
1. Either Biden won the election fairly, or
2. Trump and his allies are incompetent nincompoops.
They could not produce credible evidence or make a convincing case that Biden's election win was fraudulent. Team Trump went to court to argue their case about 60 times, mostly in front of Republican appointed judges. Many of the judges, including three on the Supreme Court, were Trump appointees. Team Trump lost in multiple recounts in red states. Keep in mind Trump had the power of the presidency during those court cases and recounts. Not to mention he presumably has the personal financial resources to hire the best detectives and lawyers.

Did anybody else notice the way that Trump was so certain that he would win and insistent that he did win indicated that he thought the fix was in? Given that he was always behind Biden in the polls and was underwater in his approval rating, why would Trump assume that he won, by "a landslide" no less?

...we rational people get to point out that he lost and that the cultists are supporting and enabling a loser.

It's up to others to declare that one is rational...IF...one is, in fact, rational.

That old "methinks" line from Hamlet annoys me but it seems to fit here: Methinks that the moderator doth protest his rationality too much.

I'm convinced that those smoke filled room handlers of that perverted and demented doddering old fart former 18 wheeler driver, BAHAHAHAHA, from Delaware swiped the election.

You may not be rational, Curt, but you are fervent...and obsessed with Trump , as this thread demonstrates.

It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Our mutual friend Shakespeare insisted on responding. So you apparently think Trump and company is incompetent and no match for doddering Team Biden.

So you apparently think Trump and company is incompetent and no match for doddering Team Biden.

That strikes me as irrational. Bahahahaha, ahhhhhh!

I don't think that Trump's gang is incompetent but clearly they are no match for those smoke filled room handlers of that perverted and demented doddering truck drivin old fart from Delaware.

WaPo Opinion: It’s a good thing Republican election-stealers are so incompetent
Excerpt of op-ed by Paul Waldman July 30, 2021 at 11:20 a.m. EDT
When the results in Florida were thrown into uncertainty, the GOP mobilized its smartest and most ruthless operatives to make sure the outcome was secured in George W. Bush’s favor. The enterprise was run by the cool and efficient James Baker, who had been a Cabinet secretary and chief of staff to two presidents.

Baker assembled a team of the party’s best lawyers, including three future Supreme Court justices — John G. Roberts Jr., Brett M. Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett — to fight the battle in state and federal courts. There was no “release the Kraken” courtroom buffoonery and no Four Seasons Total Landscaping-style face plants. The drama may have been chaotic, but inside the chaos was a highly competent group of Republican professionals who navigated it all the way to the Supreme Court, where five Republican justices handed the victory to Bush.

Now imagine if people like them — rather than Rudolph W. Giuliani, a bunch of QAnon believers and the MyPillow guy — were the ones trying to steal elections today.

There's a fair amount of truth in the Bush 2000 thing but none of you believers in the 020 Biden myth are admitting that the 2000 election was all within the confines of the Swamp.

It really didn't matter in DC which candidate won. As Indy, from the old forum would be pointing out, Bush and Gore were variations on a theme. Six of one, half dozen of the other.

The SwampGOPs rallied to fight for Bush II. No one among the SwampGOPs lifted more than their pinky finger for Trump. If anything proves the Swamp, antiSwamp thing, it's this.
