It's been a year in the making, but the GOP impeachment inquiry has been an epic fail.

Interesting how Tucker lists old taboos that are no longer taboos. He claims that "until fairly recently it was taboo to attack people based on their race". Really? Emmitt Till, Medgar Evans, Martin Luther King, John Lewis, et cetera would beg to differ.

He then brings up sexual taboos that are no longer taboos. I thought for sure he would mention the thrice married, philander, porn star john, pussy grabber Donald Trump. Instead he made a vague innuendo about Barack Obama. When he talked about being sexually inappropriate with minors, I thought for sure he'd bring up Trump who bragged to Howard Stern about how he strolled into the dressing room of beauty pageant he owned to ogle the naked and semi-naked teenage girls. But no, Tucker didn't go there.

I am sure that Tucker will find an audience among the fact-adverse who liked his fact-free tirades on Fox.

So you agree with Tucker... "until fairly recently it was taboo to attack people based on their race" Are you saying the murders of these men, AND those hung from trees were both "Fairly recent" and Horrible?

Did curt and I see the same thing? Maybe he didn't say anything about the pedophiles for a reason... Like Tucker said...

Of course those murders were horrible...but not recent. Tucker said "until fairly recently it was taboo to attack people based on their race".

"Of course those murders were horrible...but not recent. Tucker said "until fairly recently it was taboo to attack people based on their race"."

This biggest issue between us is "recently" is a relative term. My view is that historically, it was recently. They were in our lifetime, so even in the short history of our nation, it's recently. It's a problem with a relative term.

I remember seeing pictures of blacks hung in trees during the 60's, and pictures in the magazines of crosses burning, and a couple of crosses burning in front of houses. My parents actually talked about it and racism (on my level at the time). It left quite an impression on me obviously. That's one of the reasons, MLKs "I have a dream" speech made such an impact on me, and his march in Selma. With all the other violence (especially later), I really saw MLKjr as someone that was different.

So I just looked at it though a historical lens.
