Glenn C. Altschuler, a professor at Cornell University wrote:
“One of the things I have is really good judgment,” former President Trump claimed. “I think I have a really good temperament. ... I certainly have a great relationship with people. I get along with everybody.” During his campaign in 2016, Trump pledged he would appoint “the very best people” to his Cabinet and administration.
Prof. Altschuler then goes on to list some of the people who Trump appointed, nominated or hired and showered with lavish praise on their way in. That list includes Gen. Mark Milley, Brett Kavanaugh, William Barr, Mike Pence, Anthony Scaramucci, Rex Tillerson, John Bolton and Gen. James Mattis. On their way out Trump viciously denounced them.
