People are murdering others and they are out before the reports are done. Why? Because murderers are not considered "a threat to others." WTF? NYC, Chicago, LA, Philly and other cities with the highest rise in crime are the biggest issues. Curt will only use the crime stats of the states, which is extremely misleading and less than honest (1)

But now there's a twist. Charges have been dropped against Xuan Kha Tran Pham, the 49-year-old man being investigated for the Monday assault of two congressional staffers with a metal bat, was previously charged with assaulting a police officer, but the local Soros-backed prosecutor declined to pursue the charges, court records show.

The office of Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano, whose campaign was backed by far-left billionaire George Soros, declined to prosecute Pham in 2022 after he was charged with assaulting a police officer, according to court records. Pham allegedly attacked two staff members at Democratic Virginia Rep. Gerry Connolly’s district office with a baseball bat Monday morning and has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding and malicious wounding; he is being held without bond, according to ABC 7.

Descano’s office previously declined to prosecute five charges related to the 2022 assault incident including assaulting a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and attempting to disarm law enforcement of a stun gun, according to court documents.

God knows I'm not a Connolly fan. He voted for everything I'm against. He and his staff should not fear for their lives. A metal bat can easily kill someone. Is Pham unstable? I'd say so. But you don't release someone that found where Connolly's office was and hunted down staffers then attempted to kill the staff of a member of Congress. Period.

I find it interesting no one rally's to Connolly's people getting bludgeoned to death for a political spot. This just proves that the left doesn't have a human heart, but only a political "thought."
    Bless yo'heart.
I know this is true of Curt. The least empathetic human I've ever met, And I worked with operators for over 30 years. People who's heart rate wouldn't increase when they killed someone. He's less than that.

I am not sure what you expect me to say. Contrary to your assertion, charges have NOT been dropped against the bat-wielding assailant. Also nobody was bludgeoned to death. The attacker is most likely schizophrenic.

If you are wondering, I don't believe violent mentally ill people should be running amok. Ronald Reagan's repeal of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act effectively closed many federal mental health institutions, thereby deinstitutionalizing those patients.

Okay, so you're taking the position that the bat swinger should be left alone to make more victims in society. Great. You're as liable as the bat swinger.

    OD,
I just said the opposite of what you imagine my position is.

  5. by oldedude on May 16, 2023 10:25 pm
Also, SCOTUS has repeatedly enforced that mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse are no defense against a crime.

OMFG, I was actually trying to enforce law against using a bat to murder political individuals, and you're saying we should murder them. GFL with that.

Have any doctors confirmed that you are NOT suffering from schizophrenia? Your last couple of posts in particular have not been tethered to reality.

I brought you a case in which some guy was gunning for a member of the US Congress and attempted to murder them (not to mention a couple of cops (but you don't care about them). You keep "talking" all about how there should be every threat of a murder fully investigated and charged. Except when you don't. So you make all sorts of reasons, justifications, and excuses for trying to murder SCOTUS Judges, GOP politicians, etc. I was just wondering how schizophrenic you'd be on this and true to form, you don't care about murderers on the street.

Curt, the dimension that olde dude seems to exist in appears to have little to do with the one the rest of us are living in, other than some of the characters in it being similar to us. But they certainly are not us. Who knows what those other-dimensional versions of us are apparently saying to him and he is responding to.

You need to take a look at curt's posts. He makes excuses for every attempted or actual murderer of any politician and cop. I first recognized with the attempted murder of Scalise, and the shooting of one of the Cap hill cops. When the officer was properly attired to handle fentanyl, and it went through her gloves coming from money and almost died, it was "you knew the job was dangerous when you took it" (thank you again, Super Chicken). If you feel the same, fine. There are several other examples, but you're not going to read them anyway, so...

When the officer was properly attired to handle fentanyl, and it went through her gloves coming from money and almost died, it was "you knew the job was dangerous when you took it." ---OD attributing the quote to me. 🙄

Add the above myth to the long list of untrue things that gullible people believe. A bit of critical thinking, if not commonsense, should make a person skeptical that a police officer "almost died" in those circumstances. 🤨 If fentanyl were really that deadly, how could pharmaceutical manufacturers make it? Wouldn't drug dealers being dropping dead like flies?

(CNN)Media outlets push fears of officers overdosing from fentanyl exposures. Doctors say it doesn’t add up

(UC Davis)Health toxicology expert dispels myths around fentanyl exposure

(waPo)A sheriff’s office posted a warning about fentanyl. It spread misinformation instead, experts say.

(Avenues Recovery)In August of 2021, a video went viral of a police officer who overdosed after touching Fentanyl. The video caused much misinformed panic and unnecessary hysteria. People were led to believe that one can overdose and die from just touching or even smelling Fentanyl. The truth, according to Dr. Susan Julius, is that although Fentanyl is deadly, one can not overdose from merely touching it.
