As OD and pb have said repeatedly.

(CNN)Special counsel John Durham concluded that the FBI should never have launched a full investigation into connections between Donald Trump's campaign and Russia during the 2016 election, according to a report compiled over three years by the Trump-administration appointee and released on Monday.

Durham's 300-plus page report also states that the FBI used "raw, unanalyzed, and uncorroborated intelligence," to launch the "Crossfire Hurricane" investigation into Trump and Russia but used a different standard when weighing concerns about alleged election interference regarding Hillary Clinton's campaign.

TDS? More Americans contracted than COVID-19.

And, it remains unusable.

Bahahahahahahahahahaha baha baha baha baha.

It's too bad that regardless of this, the adamant TDSrs (especially on SS) will continue to make up reasons, justifications, and excuses for their behavior. Durham actually said that Crossfire Hurricane was nothing more than unsubstantiated fiction (paraphrased).

It makes me sick these a-holes were not charged with crimes which they knowingly participated in.

Durham, appointed to investigate political bias by the FBI in its investigation of President Donald Trump, wrote that “neither U.S. nor the Intelligence Community appears to have possessed any actual evidence of collusion in their holdings at the commencement” of the investigation.

“Our investigation determined that the Crossfire Hurricane investigators did not and could not corroborate any of the substantive allegations contained in the Steele reporting,” the report read.

Durham added that the FBI “failed to uphold their mission of strict fidelity to the law.” Durham also claimed that the investigation into Trump was continued even after “the Director of the FBI and others learned of significant and potentially contrary intelligence,” according to the report.

Durham, who was appointed by Attorney General Bill Barr in 2020, was tasked with investigating the FBI’s “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation into Trump’s 2016 campaign for alleged contact with the Russian government. That FBI investigation, led by FBI Director James Comey, who Trump fired shortly after assuming office, was later taken over by Special Counsel Robert Muller, who later reported that there was no evidence of a criminal conspiracy between Trump campaign officials and operatives of the Russian government.

Durham also faulted FBI agents for abusing surveillance laws, specifically the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, when investigating Trump campaign officials, such as foreign policy advisor Carter Page. Durham’s report concluded that FBI agents had a “predisposition to investigate Trump” even absent evidence of probable cause to do so.

“The FBI personnel also repeatedly disregarded important requirements when they continued to seek renewals of that FISA surveillance while acknowledging — both then and in hindsight — that they did not genuinely believe there was probably cause to believe that the target was knowingly engaged in clandestine intelligence activities on behalf of foreign power,” the report read.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A special prosecutor has ended his four-year investigation into possible FBI misconduct in its probe of ties between Russia and Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign with withering criticism of the bureau but a meager court record that fell far short of the former president’s prediction he would uncover the “crime of the century.”

The report Monday from special counsel John Durham represents the long-awaited culmination of an investigation that Trump and allies had claimed would expose massive wrongdoing by law enforcement and intelligence officials. Instead, Durham’s investigation delivered underwhelming results, with prosecutors securing a guilty plea from a little-known FBI employee but losing the only two criminal cases they took to trial.

Yes, they lied. completely fabricated, and they knew it. The director knew it. The lawyers knew it. I sincerely hope that in your life you have someone completely lie about something you didn't do but it ruins your life. But this is nothing but your usual jack-booted thuggery, goosestepping in Nuremburg.

Durham concluded that the FBI used "raw, unanalyzed, and uncorroborated intelligence," to launch the investigation.

It seems to me that's a reason to do an investigation. Certainly a lack of evidence and witnesses hasn't stopped the Republican House committees from pursuing their investigations. If the FBI had solid, analyzed and corroborated intelligence their investigation would be half over.

"It makes me sick these a-holes were not charged with crimes which they knowingly participated in." --OD

OD, you are giving me schadenfreude! Do you think that if John Durham had another four years more to investigate that he'd be able to get those convictions?

I know you don't understand the Constitution, nor do you give two sts about the rule of law. That is VERY evident. And yet, when it's against you, it's DEMANDED that everyone sees the law your way. Which is generally some asinine version of an alternate reality you believe everyone must adhere to.

I'm not sure if Durham had any rights to charge. That may have been left to the DOJ (which is stoopid also).
