In a new interview with Newsmax's Greta Van Susteren, Grassley seemed to imply that proof behind the allegations made about Biden's past and any communications with foreign nationals remains lacking.

"The letter is electrifying because it talks about exchange of money for policy decisions," Van Susteren said to Grassley. "It's a very serious allegation against the then-vice president."

The senator replied, "It is a very serious allegation. I wish I could say that I knew it was true or untrue."

Well, duh, there Curt. Of course. From the beginning, Grassley said that this particular whistle-blower is reliable and that he knows for certain that the letter exists but that he hasn't seen the letter.

But, buddy. Newsmax? You're watching Newsmax now? Did even you dump Fox? Say it ain't so, Joe.

    Bahahahahahahahahahaha baha baha, ahhhhhhhhhhh.

Why is it that much of the “evidence” against Biden and his family, including this purported letter, are like the ark of the covenant, that is a mythical artifact, which nobody has reliably produced?

  3. by HatetheSwamp on May 6, 2023 10:27 am

    Is it?

    You know it!

    Curt,

I think you were the last man in America to accept that the laptop was not a myth of a new vast right wing conspiracy.

We know that an IRS whistle-blower has hired an attorney to negotiate his testimony before House Committees and that even Chuck Grassley finds this FBI whistle-blower to be credible. Your psychology with this stuff fascinates me. I'm not a True Believer in the certainty that Clouseau will be shamed but I don't live in denial either.

It seems to me that "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" was, when he had a brain, a typical corrupt Swamp politician who's now being caught through the sloppiness and excesses of his cokehead, stripper-impregnating son.

Who knows. But the whistle-blowers are, undeniably, real.

Neither Steve Bannon nor Rudy Giuliani has ever seen Hunter Biden’s laptop. Nobody on Fox News or any other news source that you’ve cited has seen Hunter Biden’s laptop.

The most that anybody outside of the FBI has seen is data extracted from the external hard drive of the laptop computer that purportedly belonged to Hunter Biden. The repair shop owner (Mac Isaac I think his name is) reportedly had made a copy of the external hard drive before it was seized by the FBI.

Like copied documents, I doubt that copied hard drives are admissible as evidence in court.

Wait, what?! Do you really believe that Trump's henchmen and your "news" sources have actually seen Hunter Biden's laptop? See link.

My understanding is that the content of the laptop now exists in, certainly, uncounted copies. Probably hundreds.

I'm guessing that you have more than a passing understanding of how computers work. Not?

  10. by Curt_Anderson on May 6, 2023 1:28 pm
Sure, I have more than a passing understanding of how computers work.

The content of your computer can be altered without your knowledge or permission. In other words, your computer can be hacked from afar. Certainly a hard drive separated from a computer in the possession of Trump acolytes could be altered.

  11. by HatetheSwamp on May 6, 2023 1:37 pm

My understanding is that even the progressive SwampMedia is convinced that hasn't happened. But, more to the point, the content of emails, for instance, has been confirmed through the people with whom Hunter corresponded, Tony Bobulinski for one. Also, bank records confirm allegedly untoward financial dealing.

And, most of the strippers have confirmed their part in the coke snorting and pay for play sex.

Let not your heart be troubled. It's all good.

  12. by Curt_Anderson on May 6, 2023 1:51 pm
Those bank reports of "untoward" financial dealings have nothing to do with Hunter Biden's laptop. Suspicious activity reports (SAR) is a document that financial institutions are required to file with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) if they detect any suspicious activity or transactions related to money laundering or other criminal activities. SARs are filed purely out of caution without any real suspicion of wrongdoing.

For sure, Hunter Biden has been a bad boy. But his hijinks with strippers et cetera doesn't implicate his father. Now on the other hand, Donald's illicit sexual activity does reflect adversely on Donald.
