I don't know if you've been following the polls. But, "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" has been sinking lately. Hard to say why apart from the fact that the Flatulent Fool's cognitive decline is becoming increasingly apparent.

Anyway...

A new poll has revealed that in a head-to-head battle, former President Donald Trump would beat President Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential race, with a Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis ticket beating the incumbent Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris ticket.

The poll, conducted for Political Media by Rasmussen and provided exclusively to The Post Millennial, found that Americans preferred Trump over Biden 48 to 41 percent, respectively, to win the next presidential election.

The poll also found that the majority of Americans favor a Trump/DeSantis ticket over Biden/Harris, at 51 to 43 percent, respectively.

The poll of voters found that the majority of Americans had an unfavorable view of Biden, with 47 percent responding "very unfavorable," and 6 percent responding "somewhat unfavorable."

54 percent said that they would trust a Trump/DeSantis ticket more on the issues of illegal immigration (54 percent), government corruption (51 percent), the economy (53 percent), and national security (52 percent) over a Biden/Harris ticket.

“Trump does well head-to-head against Biden, but adding DeSantis to the ticket is powerful. Trump/DeSantis bests Biden/Harris 51-43, outside the margin of error," he said.

Voters also prefer Trump/DeSantis on economic issues by a whopping 53-42 margin. As Americans struggle with inflation and face a 70 percent chance of recession, Jobs and the Economy are likely to top the list of voter priorities, cementing a huge advantage for Trump/DeSantis, he said.

The poll was conducted between April 27 and May 2 of 1,050 national likely voters.

Face it. Dems can only do so much with vote fraud shenanigans.

I sure hope Trump and DeSantis run as a team!

You quote Larry Ward, Chairman and Founder, Constitutional Rights PAC, going on and on about a Trump/DeSantis ticket. Ward is not a very astute political pundit or advisor. Trump and DeSantis are both Florida residents which is problematic in a close election.

Article II of the U.S. Constitution states: "The electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for two persons, of whom one at least shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves."

The 12th Amendment, adopted in 1804, mandated that electors cast separate ballots for president and vice president. However, the rule preventing an elector from voting for two people from his home state remained in effect.

If an election turns out to be particularly close, the rule could potentially come into play. It almost did in the notoriously contentious election of 2000. When Texas Gov. George W. Bush chose Dick Cheney as his running mate on the Republican ticket, Cheney had been living and voting and paying taxes for five years in Texas. Shortly before the election, however, Cheney obtained a Wyoming driver's license and put his Dallas home on the market. (He had a vacation home in Wyoming, which is the state he had formerly represented in the U.S. Congress.) Good thing for him he did: The Bush-Cheney ticket ended up winning with 271 electoral votes--just a slim five-vote margin--over Al Gore and Joe Lieberman, a total they certainly wouldn't have hit without Texas' 32 votes.

As for your point about Trump leading Biden, he has only half point lead in the RCP aggregate of polls. Biden is up two points in the most recent poll on RCP. It's a little early to get excited by any polls, especially close ones.

Trump's been hinting that he might choose DeSantis as Veep. I'm sure you know that from your viewing of Fox. Baha baha.

    Trump could change his address.

I'm thinking about 1980 when Reagan teamed up his chief rival and chose HW...

...and crushed a very weak incumbent.
