And, fueled, potentially, by false reporting in the NYT and WaPo.

I'm not a fan of institutionalized Christianity, but many of the targets of this terrorism are far from being outposts of Christian hegemony in Western culture.

I understand why Christophobia exists, particularly as regards Big Organized Christianity. Still, violence and terror are never justified.

"As Assembly of First Nations national chief Perry Bellegarde declared, 'While it is not new to find graves at former residential schools in Canada, it’s always crushing to have that chapter’s wounds exposed.' Yet the US press treated the news as if Canada had been hiding genocidal death camps." -NY Post

Well...wasn't tsomebody hiding something for about one hundred years?

I'm not convinced that there was a coverup. But, even if there was...

Am I correct in understanding, from this, that you see justification in the terrorism.

You would be incorrect. But let's not pretend did something awful didn't happen to those to those children of indigenous people. And furthermore it was a dark secret for many decades.

    From the N.Y. Post article:

"Canada’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission concluded in 2015 that at least 3,200 students died, later revising that figure to 4,100. The No. 1 cause of death was tuberculosis; influenza hit hard, too. Far from home, children were often buried on site, their graves marked with wooden crosses, most of which deteriorated and disappeared."

Some bad stuff went on, too.

To follow isle, Curt, I think this is a non sequitur.

Certainly, awful things happened but, as far as I can tell, not of the nature the christophobic media has reported.

But, did you see the tweet of the Vietnamese pastor! What the hay?

As I read you, you ARE justifying current terrorism in response to past wrongs.

    Undoubtedly.

Please understand. I'm appalled by what was done in the past. This is precisely the sort of thing Big Religion gets itself entangled in, far too willingly and waaaaay too often.

Still, these acts of terrorism are entirely inappropriate. They solve nothing.
