Minutes after Trump said he wouldn’t run and hide, he runs and hides.

I don't care what anybody says. Trump's trials won't help his poll numbers.

We don’t really know Joe Biden or Donald Trump. Maybe we should listen to those who do.

As I noted in an earlier post, we were away visiting relatives. For a variety of reasons, the trip was a disaster. One reason the trip didn't work out well is that our brother-in-law was displaying symptoms of COVID.

He owns a permanent stall at a flea market. He was doing his flea market thing the weekend before our trip and a few days later, he became very ill with precisely the same symptoms he had after his second Moderna vaccination.

He didn't get tested but it's reasonable to strongly suspect that this was COVID, and we're behaving as if it was. We are self-quarantining. I have allergies at this time of year so, either I'm experiencing mild COVID symptoms, or bad allergies. At this point, we're going to simply play out the string...

Also,...

...we drive a 2020 Toyota Camry Hybrid. Toyota puts a lot of bells and whistles on the hybrids. Most of what the car can do, we haven't even attempted. But, it's nice and gets over 50 mpg.

Anyway, on the drive home, it displayed a message saying "Maintenance Required. Contact Dealer." We planned to do that but, since we're quarantining, we weren't in a hurry.

This morning the dealer called US, saying that it's about time for our 10,000 mile service and offered to set up an appointment.

My question, if anyone knows. Is the car connected in some way to Big Bro Toyota, or was this a coincidence? Does anyone know?

    HtS,
Have you considered testing for COVID?
    COVID-19 Public Testing Information
No appointment is necessary. Testing is on a first-come, first-serve basis and is completely free to all patients. Patients must be ages three and older and are not required to show symptoms of COVID-19 in order to be tested. Up to 450 patients can be tested per day. Mid-nasal passage swab PCR tests will be performed. Patients are encouraged to bring a photo-ID. Registration will also be completed on-site. The turnaround time for testing results is two to seven days after testing.

No idea about your car. It's certainly technologically feasible. I laughed at people who worried the COVID shot included a microchip tracking device. As if there aren't easier and larger places to install a tracking device if the gubmint was interested in your travels.
