This brief video was posted on Twitter yesterday:

"This clip is of Joe Biden a few minutes ago. This is the behavior of a sad man with full-blown dementia.

Anyone who says otherwise is a craven liar complicit in elder abuse."

Okay. Full-blown dementia? No. I've seen dementia at the end. But, this ain't the behavior of a man with a fully functioning brain:

If that's from his speech in Tampa today, he was getting applause and cheers from the crowd. That old man with a few ripostes Tuesday night made younger Republicans look like fools.

I told you three years ago, it's a bad strategy to claim Biden has dementia. He too often disproves it. Smart politicians and political strategists claim their opponents in debates are the gifted orators, practiced debaters and smooth talkers. The idea is to lower expectations of your candidate.

    Curt,

    It was tweeted yesterday.

When I say that I see fruit of dementia in Joe, it's not a matter of politics. The tweet talks about elder abuse. When I say that I think Jill and Joe's string pullers are guilty of elder abuse, I'm serious. When was the last time your family allowed you to behave in public in Joe's state of confusion? I hope that the answer is never.

That you'd think of this only in terms of how your side can use that poor old man to your political advantage appalls me.

In all sincerity, HtS, knowing your family history of dementia, I suggest you see a neurologist ASAP. You are already exhibiting troubling signs here:

Confusion For example, you don't understand that the GOP's plan to replace Social Security with a privatization scheme limits or eliminates Social Security benefits.

Repeating phrases ad nauseum For example, "Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump..." or "That feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap".

Believing you're not the one with a problem and falsely thinking other people have dementia.

  4. by HatetheSwamp on February 9, 2023 4:28 pm

    Yup.

Since it's on both sides, my wife frequently tells me that she hopes I get my dementia like my dad and not my mom. Once dad got past Joe's GET OFF MY LAWN! phase, he became very gentle. Mom became like a bratty child with no sense of socially appropriate behavior.

When he turned around to shake the hand of a nonexistent person, that was very telling.

  7. by Ponderer on February 9, 2023 7:54 pm

If Biden was officially diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer's or anything like that, it wouldn't matter a damn to me.

He's still a hundred times the president that any Republican candidate who will be running could ever dream of being.

Besides, we had to suffer through several years of a president with dementia during Reagan's administration and you never heard a single Republican or Democrat in congress raise a peep about it back then.

  8. by Ponderer on February 9, 2023 9:13 pm

You know, when I read over that last post again, I can see how it might come across as if I hold Biden in a tremendously high esteem.

But it's just that being a hundred times better than any Republican who might run for president in 2024 is a rather low bar to vault over.

  9. by HatetheSwamp on February 10, 2023 2:56 am

    po,

There's no reason...other than hate and anger...to think Reagan had dementia while he was President.

The fact that he'd been diagnosed was announced nearly six years after his last day in office. He died more than 15 years after his LAST DAY as President...23 years after his first term began.

It also shows a low EQ. As does lack of empathy.

  11. by Ponderer on February 10, 2023 6:15 am

I see. So Reagan didn't have dementia until he was officially diagnosed with it. I see. I'll take your word for it as the expert that you are on the subject.

When was it that Biden was officially diagnosed with it again...?

    Oh! He hasn't been?

Well I guess that means that he doesn't have it then. Thanks for settling the issue.

  12. by HatetheSwamp on February 10, 2023 6:30 am

    po,

People don't take the dementia journey for 15 years, let alone 23.

And, seriously, po. You progressive SwampLovers are, as your demented lord and master says, "A one horse pony." Bahahahahahahahahahaha. Your standard rejoinder to any legitimate observation about the Flatulent Fool is, BUT TRUMP, BUT TRUMP! Now, that that's not easy, it's, BUT REAGAN, BUT REAGAN!!!!!

As Donnie Osmond used to say, " Cute Marie, real cute."

    Keeheeheeheeheeheeheehee hahahahahahahahaha, ahhhhhhhhhhh!

  13. by Ponderer on February 10, 2023 7:41 am

Well it's pretty hard not to compare and comment on your reactions to Trump and Biden when they are so astronomically and flagrantly hypocritical.

It's not our fault that we have to keep bringing your boundless hypocrisy to the forefront so often. You are apparently totally unaware of it. We bring it to your attention as something of a public service to you.

Fat lotta good it ever does you.

  14. by HatetheSwamp on February 10, 2023 7:47 am

Examples of pb's hypocrisy. Just generally,...but accurately.

  15. by Ponderer on February 10, 2023 8:13 am

Wow. Thanks. It's a rare thing to see you agree with me, let alone acknowledge your hypocrisy at all! I wasn't giving specific examples, as you pointed out. But I appreciate your acknowledging the accuracy of my generalization!
