PRESCOTT, AZ - Representative Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) issued the following statement in remembrance of Ashli Babbitt, who was killed in the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021.
Six months ago today, Ashli Babbitt, a 110-pound woman with nothing in her hands, not a rock, not a stick or a bat, was shot dead by a still unknown Capitol Hill police officer. Her death has been ruled a homicide. Yet, we have very little information about her death. Our fake news media has asked no questions or sought information about this tragedy. So, I have. And now President Trump has joined me in seeking the truth...
He is yet another Republican who claims to be pro-police while attempting to dox a police officer who faithfully performed his duty on January 6th.
Gosar misleads: Babbitt's death was ruled a justifiable homicide.
This U.S. Capitol Police officer was cleared of criminal wrongdoing for fatally shooting Ashli Babbitt, who as part of a mob, attempted to crawl though a broken window along side a set of locked doors deep in the Capitol during the January siege, federal prosecutors in D.C. said. Prosecutors also said it was reasonable for the officer to believe he was firing in self-defense or in defense of members of Congress and aides who were fleeing the House chamber.
The hypocrisy is strong in this one
Does anybody doubt that Gosar normally would support the "stand your ground" rule and the "castle doctrine" if another intruder breaking through a window were shot by a homeowner? To illustrate Gosar's contemptible hypocrisy, he tweeted that 17 year-old Kyle Rittenhouse was "100% Justified" when he shot and killed people during a protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Even Gosar's family doesn't like him
Paul Gosar is so racist, reactionary and repulsive that his six siblings appeared in television ads telling voters not to vote for their brother but, instead, vote for his opponent. See below.
