Section 3 of the amendment states that no one who previously took an oath to support the Constitution and engaged in “insurrection or rebellion” shall “hold any office, civil or military, under the United States.”
Rep. David Cicilline (R.I.) said in a release announcing the legislation that Trump “very clearly” engaged in an insurrection on Jan. 6, 2021, with the intention of overturning the results of the 2020 presidential election.
pb is no supporter of Donald Trump. He supports Ron DeSantis for President. But, this is crazy. The fascists on the J6 Committee got to the end of their journey moaning, groaning and growling over what Trump did NOT do for 187 minutes. I think we might be able to agree: Trump didn't do anything! Bahahahahahahahahahaha.
Being as chagrined as I am about what people who suffer from TDS are capable of, I understand that this is a republic. There's no way that this bill is getting anywhere. You TDSers scare me. You prove to me that there are people in the United States capable of everything that happened in Germany in the 1930s. But, sanity still prevails here.
