The Utah senator on Monday said having dinner with people who held racist and antisemitic views was “disgusting”. He said he “voted twice” to have Mr Trump removed from office as “anybody else” would be a better leader for Republicans.

“I don’t think he should be president of the United States. I don’t think he should be the nominee of our party in 2024,” Mr Romney said. “And I certainly don’t want him hanging over our party like a gargoyle.”

“There is no bottom to the degree to which he’s willing to degrade himself, and the country for that matter,” said the 2012 Republican presidential nominee.

    Curt- You do know that gargoyles were places as "protection" against evil, right?

    My view is that he is satan, and not in the good. Although pedojoe is further in the gates of hell then Trump is (even now?).

    That's why I am so invested in someone new from the deep bench of the GOP. The dims have no one moderate that can run. Those that may get elected, aren't supported by the DNC. Everyone in power wants CRT (including extended rights for anyone not a straight white male).

    The only examples I can think of that I would consider to be an extended right for anyone who isn't a straight white male are affirmative action policies, which I don't support.

    As usual, you're disagreeing with SCOTUS. It was unlawful to spend that money without the consent of congress. This is the system of checks and balances you hate.

    Actually, you gave one that was pretty good, and I agree with you on. Another would be (maybe a subset) as hiring, school, etc quotas. Those nasty little numbers that every large business has to keep showing they aren't racist.
