It's amazing what you Republicans get worked up about.

According to your duplicate links, "City data shows as of late May there were 699 sworn officers...The Minneapolis City Charter requires at least 0.0017 sworn officers per resident -- about 730 officers or more".

So Minneapolis is about 4.5% under the level that the charter requires based on current population data. So even a slight reduction in police staffing qualifies as "defunding the police" to you hair-on-fire conservatives.
