I don't care what anybody says. Trump's trials won't help his poll numbers.

We don’t really know Joe Biden or Donald Trump. Maybe we should listen to those who do.

Yup! just when you thought you were rid of forcing your kid to wear that filthy mask the governments made them wear. Here's the new danger because of the isolation and masking for two years. 3 of the four grandchildren in CO are just getting over it, along with one of the mom's and a grandmother. Also two of our friends and another sister-in-law. Thank you doctor ouchi.

In fairness, this is not brought over by the Chinese, and the government had nothing to do with it. But because it's not "covid" nobody cares.

CA just recorded the first toddler death a few days ago.

"Children’s hospitals in parts of the U.S. are seeing a surge in a common respiratory illness that can cause severe breathing problems for babies.

RSV cases fell dramatically two years ago as the pandemic shut down schools, day cares and businesses. With restrictions easing in the summer of 2021, doctors saw an alarming increase in what is normally a fall and winter virus.

Now, it’s back again. And doctors are bracing for the possibility that RSV, flu and COVID-19 could combine to stress hospitals.

It stands for respiratory syncytial virus, a common cause of mild cold-like symptoms such as runny nose, cough and fever. Nearly all U.S. children normally catch an RSV infection by age 2.

The virus is encountering a highly vulnerable population of babies and children who were sheltered from common bugs during the pandemic lockdowns.

Immune systems might not be as prepared to fight the virus after more than two years of masking, which offered protection, according to Dr. Elizabeth Mack of Medical University of South Carolina."

Those governments were trying to do the right thing, so I'm not going to engage in the finger pointing that you're engaging in.

You have to wonder how many lives were saved because the governments made people wear protective masks, though - I mean if you want to look at this objectively and honestly.

My state did it for awhile, and then made it optional. We weren't too far off the national average. That said, stores were open, so were schools, churches, etcetcetc.

When you take a look at the mandates. People lost their livelihoods, their businesses, because of them. People without masks were attacked. The US is one of the worst for looking at the "science." They took away the ability of doctors to say anything different than what the CDC dictated people believe, even though much of it was not based in science. Many times doctors were going off of the Israeli medical reports the CDC refused to look at. The left's "disinformation police" were everywhere, governors and mayors encouraged people to rat out your neighbor and family if too many people were gathered together, while immigrants were living three generations in one apartment.

The fact that we have MORE death now because of RSV is also a concern. So we have to add that to the death toll.

And the loss of reading and math abilities in the schools.

And the suicide rate and attempted suicides (per CDC) and those "missing" from schools and they don't know where the students went. Dead? Abused?

"Scientists have an obligation to strive for honesty. And on the question of whether kids should wear masks in schools—particularly preschools and elementary schools—here is what I conclude: The potential educational harms of mandatory-masking policies are much more firmly established, at least at this point, than their possible benefits in stopping the spread of COVID-19 in schools. To justify continued masking of schoolkids—with no end date in sight—we have to prove that masks benefit kids, and at what ages. States and communities that are considering masking policies just to be safe should recognize that being overly cautious has a cost, while the benefits are uncertain."

"California health officials have mandated masks for all students when schools reopen on the grounds that “treating all kids the same will support a calm and supportive school environment.”

There is a much better way to achieve the same goal: discontinue mask wearing for all students, vaccinated or not.

The benefits of masks in preventing serious illness or death from COVID-19 among children are infinitesimally small. At the same time they are disruptive to learning and communicating in classrooms.  They may be partially effective in shielding adults from COVID, but since when is it ethical to burden children for the benefit of adults?"

Youth suicide attempts soared during pandemic, CDC report says (June 2021)
Emergency room visits for adolescent suicide attempts soared this past summer and winter, especially among girls, perhaps in connection to America's struggle with Covid-19, new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data revealed Friday.

There was a 22.3 percent spike in ER trips for potential suicides by children aged 12 to 17 in summer 2020 compared to 2019, according to findings published in the CDC's "Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report."

That trend seemed to continue into this recently completed academic year as visits were up by 39.1 percent this winter, compared to the previous winter, the report said.
