OD's Nikki Haley comes in at 8, at little low in my mind. Kari Lake, pre defeat, is number 6.
Anyway, counting down from 5 to 1:
5. Tim Scott
4. Glen Youngkin
3. Mike Pence
2. OrangeMan
1. Ron DeSantis
Mike Pence in third seems unlikely to pb. He's a hero of January 6. He kept the worst of OrangeMan in check during his term. But, win the nomination? No way.
Every time OrangeMan comes up when the SwampMedia expresses opinion, you have to factor in insanity, derangement. A month ago, wouldn't Trump have been the obvious most likely to win the nomination?
Anyway, pb's guess is that this ranking is close to run of the mill for the progressive SwampMedia. One thing it shows is that the GOP has a far deeper bench than does the Dem party. Who'd be numbers 2 to 5, after President Clouseau, among Dems?, Kammy, French Laundry, Mayor Pete, Pocahontas? Exactly. The GOP has the deeper bench.
Of the GOP top 5 in terms of electability? According to pb:
5. Orangey
4. Pence
3. Scott
2. Youngkin
1. DeSantis, though the top two are close to tied. pb's not sure either will run for 024. But, if Tim Scott would accept the Veep? Any GOP'd win in a landslide!
