pb's confident that, except possibly for OD, no one who posts here regularly watched Fox last night, even though it normally has ratings far higher than MSNBC and CNN combined. pb observed several things of interest.
1. Many of the key Fox commentators, abhor Trump, like pb does. Early in the evening, when it was less than certain that JD Vance and Ted Budd were going to win and Oz and other Trump Senate candidates were getting thumped, some Fox folks made Blue MAGA Swampcult-like sanctimonious snubbish comments about Trump. Mentions of Trump on Fox are rare. Presumably, word has come down from management. It is unusual for the name to be uttered...and when it was, there was unrestrained resentment. It strikes pb that the Fox gang has pb's view of Trump.
2. There was barely suppressed adoration of Ron DeSantis which felt like the glorious awe that many in the progressive Swampcult evinced for The ONE from 08 through his campaigns and presidency. Most of you denied Obama worship but there was a tone of awe and reverence about you. The Fox folks didn't lose their journalistic objectivity in word...but the tone of voice and body language?, oy! Very peo DeSantis. Very pb-ish.
3. In the morning after, the FOX AND FRIENDS gang has been a sight. The GOP underperformed the Fox expectation at the very least and pb was curious to see how they'd do with egg on their collective face. So far, they've just pretended away the unpleasant parts. It's mostly DeSantis, Rubio and Kemp with a little Abbott.
