And you thought OrangeMan hates our democracy!

WASHINGTON — Members of the White House press corps are pushing President Biden to stick to tradition and hold a news conference after Tuesday’s midterm elections — but press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre again refused Monday to say whether the president would host one.

"An outside observer might conclude that he doesn’t want a press conference because he’s poised to lose control of one or both chambers [of Congress].”

(Tamara) Keith, of NPR, pointed out to Jean-Pierre last week that former Presidents Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Donald Trump all held a press conference after their first midterm.

“A formal press conference allows for a more in-depth exploration of the president’s views,” Keith told The Post in an email.

What a classless, demented buffoon.

I thought you didn't trust NPR. But he can forget Trump yelling at reporters after the 2018 midterms? In case you did...

What's amazing is that much of the worst of OrangeMan has been taken to the next level by "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap."

The gang on THE FIVE were just saying that when the Flatulent Fool called people carrying signs at a weekend speech, "idiots," he was doing exactly what Trump did.

The Former Trucker is sorta Trump 2.0.

I think in his own mind, he is following Trumps policies, but has changed them for himself.

    1. China first policy. I mean, they're his employers, so that would be the basis for this.

    2. NO DRILL! BABY! NO DRILL!

    3. Forget the middle class. Tell energy workers to learn how to code computers, because it's so easy to find a job when you're a 50+ as a computer engineer.

    4. Insult all the countries we need as allies (notice I didn't say "friends")

    5. Don't have rallies. They're too dangerous to the administration. Have others speak for you so they don't screw up their message.

    6. Overtax US products. This falls under his China First policy. We need to protect Chinese owned businesses, so you tax them here so they'll leave.

    7. Take everything away from retirees. Force them to use a government-run e-currency to trace all their transactions and see who's buying guns and ammunition. Tax the crap out of them. Return all the taxes Trump gave a break on so there are no family farms left in the US (they're all Chinese-run).

7a. Ensure everyone's 401 won't get them more than 6 months of money in the account. And tax that at the highest rate possible without loopholes. Make them totally dependent on the government.

    8. Give the Chinese access to take over our electrical grid.

Jean-Pierre promised on Biden's behalf that he'd hold a post-election press conference, just no promises that it will be the very day after the election.

There is good reason for that. The reason is Republicans. Republicans in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and elsewhere have passed laws that mail-in and other early ballots cannot be counted until election night. Also Republicans have targeted election workers with smears and attacks which has caused a shortage of paid election workers and volunteers. Also Republican election deniers are showing up as election watchers and will no doubt use any excuse to bollox up the works with delays and complaints. Furthermore, mail-in ballots only have to be postmarked by election day, not received on election day. All that ads up to slower vote count.

The bottom line is that votes will not be completely tabulated tomorrow. That's especially true in close contests in which recounts are necessary. So a promise to hold press conference tomorrow to discuss the election results would be premature and ill-advised.

Besides that, on a normal day, they give him his tapioca at about 6:30 and put him to bed.

It's also not a line-by-line evaluation of the election. This time, it's just a general, "We got shellacked" statement. That would be sufficient. Oh. He might not be able to remember that. Maybe it would be a "we got shellacked and the nation is now not a "democracy" it's a Republic like the founders intended."
