pb's been stunned recently by the way progressives, including progressives here, are showing childlike trust in the FBI despite it's admitted invasion of Melania's boudoir and young Barron Trump's bedroom..

Now? Forty years of invading the privacy of Aretha. C'mon man! How about a little RESPECT.

Aretha was apparently followed by the FBI starting in the J. Edgar Hoover era and vestiges of that surveillance for another three decades. Likewise your complaints about the Democrats usually mention Tammany Hall which had it's heyday in the 1890's. On the other hand, of entities and people that you support, the GOP and Trump for instance, you ignore and discount even his most recent courtroom convictions and decisions. The FBI and its agents tend to conservative and uber patriotic. They probably were suspicious of Aretha's civil rights activities. As to my frequent unrefutable claims about Tammany Hall? I've never said that Dems cheated during Tammany Hall. I note that Dems have been cheating since Tammany Hall. Dems have not stopped cheating since. I can't understand how a good dyed in the wool progressive such as yourself can be so nonchalant about the abusive overreaches of the FBI, which have been egregious almost from the beginning! Edgar Hoover was a staunch, lifelong supporter of the Republican Party. Part of being a liberal like me is a reverence for facts and logic. I don't ascribe the sins of the fathers or the isolated incidents and ancient history of an organization when commenting on present day activities.
