OD,
I care about human life. I can also count. During our two decades in Afghanistan 2,461 Americans, mostly young soldiers, died. In the last year no US personnel died. That's an extraordinary improvement.
Also thank you, OD, for reporting PRAVDA's view of our withdrawal from Afghanistan.
While the Soviets never released official casualty figures for the war in Afghanistan, U.S. intelligence sources estimated that as many as 15,000 Russian troops died in Afghanistan, and the economic cost to the already struggling Soviet economy ran into billions of dollars.

Again. You left people to die there. Period. You can yap all the excuses, reasons, and justifications you tell yourself. It's not going to sway me one mm.
Had you done that in my career field. Eventually, someone, somewhere, would kill your family and frame you for the murders so you could be bubba's buttie for the rest of your life. That's how seriously we take that. You're telling us their (the dead) lives were meaningless and they don't mean enough for you to at least get their bodies back to their families.
