The cancellation totaled about $8 million, according to Politico, which is roughly half of what the PAC had initially planned to run in the Grand Canyon State. Advertisements from the group are now set to begin in the beginning of October instead of early fall.

Former President Trump and GOP megadonor Peter Thiel both support Masters’s candidacy, but other Republicans feared he would be a weaker opponent to Kelly.

This is why pb loves the GOP! There's energy and commitment to principle on our side.

The Dems? They fall in line like a bunch of Nazis.

Masters is a lunatic, like the rest of the Trump swamp candidates. Kelly will beat him by a huge margin. Mitch is smart to spend the money elsewhere. Both parties do that sort of thing. It's just common sense. Not sure what you're saying, Hts.

    Donna,

pb is saying that Trump invested tremendous political capital in getting his hand-picked candidates through the primaries only to have Mitch control their destiny by deciding whether or not Trump candidates get GOP financial support.

  3. by Donna on August 28, 2022 9:39 am
Do you think a political party should waste money on candidates who are certain to lose?

  4. by Donna on August 28, 2022 9:45 am

I kid you not, this is the US Senate candidate who Trump supported in Arizona. Mark Kelly has to be loving this!

Yeah, Donna, I think there have been more Trump rallies in Arizona than in any other state. I'm pretty familiar with the Trump backed candidates there.

Arizona has a very vocal minority of Trumpers.

  7. by HatetheSwamp on August 28, 2022 11:35 am

It does...enough to do damage in the primaries.

  8. by Donna on August 28, 2022 11:45 am
Indeed. And as a result, Arizona just might go Blue in November.

Is that intentional or unintentional humor? Not throwing good money after bad is "principle"? I expect the GOP will use the same "principle" in Pennsylvania, Georgia and other places where Trump endorsed candidates which Mitch McConnell referred to their poor "quality" are sinking in the polls.

You have no humour. period. It's impossible to make a joke to you while we're all dying. That's okay. just make sure your dry as a 95 year olde tart.
Yes, that's Brit humour. If you can't make sense of it, let me know, we'll all laugh about it.

    OD,
You should let HtS speak for himself. Many of his posts are preposterous and ridiculous, so it becomes hard to tell if he is joking or not.

    Baha, Curt.

No, pb is making that point that, while the GOP is the party of openness and tolerance and inclusion...the very point he was making months ago, when you proudly claimed not to know who Fox's gay Guy is...the GOP Swamp still carries a big stick.

  13. by HatetheSwamp on August 29, 2022 4:13 am

    OD.

I think it's clear that, for all the things you might say in praise of Curt, I've been searching for a sense of humor for nigh unto 20 years...and, I'm still coming up empty.

Even, for instance, when people on both political sides were chortling over "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap's" numerous claims to be a former truck driver, Curt took that seriously as if that was a well written-line from a State of the Union speech.

Face it. If Curt has a sense of humor, it's from another planet.

Yeah, I should learn that (especially) dry humor isn't for the written word. Much of it gets lost without seeing the sender. But also, thanks for the heads up. But I did give it the ol' college try.
