Recently in these pages it was suggested that Merrick Garland is a "dweeb". Garland according to a repeat poster had "a deer in the headlights appearance before the cameras...He makes Wally Cox look like Rocky Balboa...Merrick Garland has, very literally, become the face of the case against Trump...He's a dweeb...I see Trump winning this skirmish."
Trump probably has one hundred pounds or more on Garland. If it were a wrestling match Trump might have the advantage. But this contest won't be fought in a ring. In this contest honesty and intelligence are what matters. It's a battle of right versus wrong, facts versus BS.
Al Capone undoubtedly murdered and ordered murders. It was common knowledge that Capone was a crook and killer. But the toughest of law enforcement couldn't make substantial charges stick against Capone. Finally they turned to a bespectacled, unassuming accountant named Frank J. Wilson. Wilson sharpened his pencil and studied the ledgers to made the case that Capone had cheated on his income taxes. Capone was found to guilty of income tax evasion and sent to federal prison. His criminal career was over.
