Classified documents relating to nuclear weapons were among the items FBI agents sought in a search of former president Donald Trump’s Florida residence on Monday, according to people familiar with the investigation.

Experts in classified information said the unusual search underscores deep concern among government officials about the types of information they thought could be located at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club and potentially in danger of falling into the wrong hands...

“If that is true, it would suggest that material residing unlawfully at Mar-a-Lago may have been classified at the highest classification level,” said David Laufman, the former chief of the Justice Department’s counterintelligence section, which investigates leaks of classified information. “If the FBI and the Department of Justice believed there were top secret materials still at Mar-a-Lago, that would lend itself to greater ‘hair-on-fire’ motivation to recover that material as quickly as possible.”

Interesting. Those should have been labeled and inventoried by state dept before he left. Then the items would have been put in another safe he did not have access to. That's the protocol for that level.

    Ted Cruz

To the AG & FBI Dir:

    RELEASE THE WARRANT NOW.

The American people deserve to see it. NOW.

And, as even Cuomo acknowledges, “it MUST be more than a search for inconsequential archives,” or it will be obvious that this is nothing more than a blatant political persecution.

I posted on another thread. Trump has a declassified copy of CROSSFIRE HURRICANE is really what they wanted. If I were them, with as little as they've done with the perps, I wouldn't blame them.

"Trump has a declassified copy of CROSSFIRE HURRICANE is really what they wanted.". --OD

Explain that. Why would the DOJ want a copy of the original they already have? If it's unclassified (or even if it's not) Trump could have made hundreds of copies or posted it online. Why would a judge agree to issue a warrant for an unclassified document?

    Curt-
It isn't so THEY have a copy, it's so Trump doesn't and can pull it off like an "October surprise."

This is all about politics. The FBI is trying to protect themselves, the J6 wants Trump out, and the entire swamp would like him dead, but that's too risky at this point. If this side can ruin Trump politically, financially, or any other way, they'll do it.

Trump wants to politically take out the people that want him gone or were parts that ruined several people in his orbit.

Nuke docs? HOAX. And the blue MAGAs fell for it.

Fact Check: Did Donald Trump Give Out 'Nuke Codes' in Fundraising Email?
"It appears that someone edited a screenshot of an authentic fundraising email sent out on Tuesday, adding the fake text about the so-called nuclear codes. The subject and time signature of the email are the same, but the body text of the email has been altered.

The original email was sent out to those on Trump's email list on Tuesday at 10:12 a.m. ET. Instead of a message about nuclear codes, the email reads:

"BREAKING: THE FBI RAIDED PRESIDENT TRUMP'S HOME: MAR-A-LAGO"
